Since the 18th National Party Congress,China's high-speed rail construction has been making rapid progress during the past five years. The newly proposed "eight vertical and eight horizontal" railway construction goals will put the construction of urban agglomerations on the agenda, and the urban agglomeration competition model will become the main competition model.High-speed railway construction is the basic framework for promoting the formation and development of urban agglomerations. This paper takes the panel data of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta City Group for the period of 2009-2016 as a sample, describes the development status and spatial distribution of high-speed railway development and economic level in the region, and explores the economic growth effects of the high-speed railway separately under the perspective of time and space.Spatial structure effect. The economic growth effect builds a spatial Dubin model on the basis of the weight of economic geography to verify the impact of high-speed rail development on regional economic growth. The spatial structure effect uses a gravity model to build an economic network of cities and studies the urban agglomeration through social network analysis.Changes in the economic network structure. The empirical analysis results show that the high-speed railway has a positive positive spillover effect on the economic growth of the Yangtze River Delta City Cluster, but the economically more developed cities will have crowding effect on the underdeveloped cities, causing the resource outflow of the edge cities. In terms of spatial structure, the economic network of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration tends to be balanced, and the strength of economic ties in the southern region is significantly increased. In the western region, the intensity of economic ties is weak, and the characteristics of the urban agglomerations are not yet significant.Shanghai,as a core city of urban agglomerations, has declined significantly after the opening of the high-speed rail, and the control of resources is gradually decentralized.Suzhou,Nanjing,Hangzhou,Ningbo, and Wuxi are the important resource transfer cities within the urban agglomerations and constitute the secondary economy of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.Growth pole.
