Dawa Village In Handan Based On Regional Adaptability Research On The Characteristics And Renewal Of Residential Buildings

In the long-term development and evolution process,residential houses in different regions have formed regional characteristics that are compatible with the local natural environment and social environment.The formation of this architectural characteristic is the wisdom crystallization of residents in various regions who constantly adapt to local natural conditions and integrate regional culture in the long-term development process,and it is the direct embodiment of ancien t Chinese philosophical thoughts in architecture.At present,the accelerating urbanization process has had a huge impact on traditional villages,and the style of residential houses has been seriously damaged,and the regional characteristics have gradual ly disappeared.Under the strategic background of implementing the strategic plan of rural revitalization in China,more and more attention has been paid to the external forms of traditional folk houses,the historical and cultural values carried by them and the architectural ideas contained in them.On the basis of understanding the regional environment,this paper analyzes the architectural characteristics of traditional dwellings,summarizes the regional adaptability strategies formed in the long-term development process,and applies them to the renewal of today’s dwellings,which is of great significance for the protection and renewal of today’s traditional dwellings.Dawa Village is located in the western mountainous area of Handan,with complex terrain and inconvenient communication with the outside world.The local dwellings have obvious regional characteristics in plane layout,structure,materials and environment.However,with the change of lifestyle,the function and form of residential buildings conflict with residents’ needs,and the phenomenon of residential buildings abandonment is serious.Secondly,in the process of renovation and restoration of residential buildings,there is a lack of consideration of cultural heritage and architectural ecology,lack of value cognition of traditional residential buildings,and blind pursuit of modern building materials and technologies.The original architectural texture has been seriously damaged,and a large amount of construction waste has been produced.T hirdly,the gradual convenience of transportation has resulted in the outflow of a large number of young people,the decrease of village vitality,and the serious aging in the village.However,traditional dwellings lack the function and space to adapt to the life and spiritual needs of the elderly.Under this background,sorting out and exploring the characteristics and values of Dawa Village’s residential buildings,inheriting predecessors’ coping strategies for the regional environment,and putting forwa rd the renewal design scheme based on the current problems are the problems that need to be solved urgently in the current residential renewal and village development.Firstly,starting from the current situation of traditional dwellings in Dawa Village,this paper learned about the general situation of natural environment and historical and cultural background of Dawa Village by means of literature reading and resident interviews,and learned about the architectural characteristics of villagers’ dwellings in Dawa Village and the existing problems of current dwellings through field investigation and field mapping.Secondly,from the aspects of architectural layout,architectural site selection,maintenance structure,building materials,building technology,etc.,this paper analyzes the adaptability strategies of traditional dwellings to the natural environment and human environment.Finally,according to the new requirements of residents’ lifestyle changes in the current social development environment and the protection status of traditional dwellings,based on the adaptive strategies summarized above,the adaptive renewal principle of Dawa dwellings under the contemporary social background is put forward,and two types of dwellings are selected to study the renewal of dwellings.Through the research results of this paper,on the one hand,it supplements the basic information of residential architecture research in the western mountainous areas of Handan,on the other hand,it hopes to provide direction for the current residential research,protect and update it from two dimensions of residents’ needs and regional cultural heritage,and promote the sustainable development of traditional residential buildings.
