Since the reform and opening-up,Changsha has witnessed rapid urbanization and unprecedented urban construction.Under this background,the general historic buildings/blocks,which reflect the history and characteristics of Changsha,have been destroyed and demolished.Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant is a commercial catering project,which was formally completed in Changsha in 2019.It features “The commercial space of the inner city of Changsha”,creating an immersive cultural consumption experience and attracting the dual attention of flow and capital.Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant has not only achieved success in business,but also has some enlightenment for the renewal of Changsha’s inner city.The purpose of this paper is: 1)Process record: clarify the specificity of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,a new urban consumption space;2)Value evaluation: systematically examine the urban effect formed by Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,and analyze the urban influence of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant itself;3)Value judgment: reflect on the construction process and urban influence of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,and summarize its demonstration value for Changsha urban renewal on this basis.This article first carries on the system combing to Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant.By analyzing the background of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant’s urban construction,the development of the brand,and the design,and construction process of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,this paper analyzes the founding process of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant as a cultural and commercial project.Second of all,This article deconstructs the general approach of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant to transform the inner city of Changsha into a landmark of Changsha.On the one hand,from the space design of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,we can interpret the typical characteristics and connotation of Changsha’s inner city with regional characteristics.On the other hand,from the modern attributes of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant,the formation of the consumption fashion of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant is summed up.In addition,this paper obtains the cognition of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant and the cognition of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant and Changsha’s inner city through investigation and interview,including three representative groups,city managers,city experts,and the public.we get the influence of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant on the city,and the relationship between Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant and Changsha’s inner-city reconstruction from the micro-level.Finally,based on summing up the extended cognition of Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant and its relationship with the city,the paper summarizes the influence of Changsha wenheyou as a commercial project with the cultural characteristics of Changsha’s inner-city on the city,this paper tries to explore the real attribute and urban value of Changsha’s inner-city on the basis of making full use of its favorable influence,and puts forward some suggestions for the future practice of urban renewal in Changsha.The preservation of culture and the promotion of the economy make the practice of the protection and development of the old city step further into a virtuous circle.
