Zhengzhou Yellow River Cultural Park is a large comprehensive scenic area with the Yellow River culture as its theme. The botanical landscape is an essential part of the Yellow River Cultural Park.It is of great significance in showing the park’s natural scenery, cultural heritage, and ecological environment. Therefore,in order to ensure the ecological value and cultural connotation of the park’s plant landscape, planning for the park’s plant landscape is necessary.Under the premise of protecting the habitat of the Yellow River Basin, this paper takes the Yellow River Cultural Park as the research object takes the study of the habitat of the Yellow River and the excavation of the historical culture of the Yellow River as the entry point, analyses the ecological environment and landscape resources in the scenic area, combines theoretical knowledge of ecological culture, plant culture, garden aesthetics and the spirit of place, follows the scientific spatial configuration of plants, and carries out plant landscape planning from habitat to mood at three levels:macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic,to provide feasible theoretical and practical references for the construction of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. The main research elements and conclusions are as follows:(1)The Yellow River Cultural Park was established in 1970,formerly the Mang Mountain Irrigation Station, and is now an essential part of the Yellow River National Park system. After 40 years of construction, the core area of the Yellow River Cultural Park has more than 3.8 million square meters of woodland and a greening rate of around 90%.However,after on-site research and habitat analysis, the Yellow River wetlands and loess gully areas still suffer from sandy soil and sparse vegetation.(2)The Yellow River Cultural Park has natural scenery and historical and cultural resources, with natural landscape resources accounting for 54.46% and human landscape resources accounting for 45.54%.However,the rich landscape resources have yet to form a good plant landscape style, there are heavy traces of artificiality in the vegetation landscape, and some scenic spots lack management and maintenance and gradually tend to be deserted, and so on.The plant landscape planning is carried out at three levels: macroscopic overall planning and layout, mesoscopic ecological restoration planning, and microscopic historical landscape optimization design. The macroscopic plant landscape planning of the Yellow River Cultural Park is based on the "Great River-Wetland-Loess Gully-Loess Plateau" and "Ancient-Chu and Han-Tang-Qing-Modern." The park has two major systems, with 31 attractions. The aim of the botanical landscape plan for the Yellow River Cultural Park is to make it a natural ecological habitat and a place where the culture of the Yellow River can be sustained.Taking the Yellow River Cultural Park as an example, this paper discusses how to highlight cultural heritage based on ecological protection. From the perspectives of habitat restoration and reshaping the historical landscape,a theoretical framework for the planning of the plant landscape of the Yellow River Cultural Park is established, which provides a reference for the development and management of the future plant landscape of the park. |
