Resilience has attracted significant attention in urban research as cities become more and more prominent for their safety and sustainability needs. As the epicenter of the COVID-19 ravages and integrated system with multiple elements, cities are conducting a unique experiment in resilience. The ensuing post-epidemic era is marked by uncertainty and cross-domain characteristics that break through traditional disturbance and urban governance boundaries and change urban system processes and subject behavior patterns. This is manifested in the surge of pressure on existing urban structures and infrastructure, place connectivity, uneven regional mobility patterns, increased economic-social inequalities, and the way organizations operate.Such characteristic issues in different periods often have an impact on the composition and focus of urban resilience factors.Taking this as a point,we adopt an integrated and systematic approach to explore the composition of the influencing factors of urban resilience in the post-epidemic era,and then clarify the black box of the relationship and status among them.It is not only in line with the times, but also responds to the practical needs of domestic resilient city construction, offering countermeasures for resilience practice and guiding resilience enhancement.First, based on the literature review at home and abroad,we analyze the important research perspectives, components and measurement tools of urban resilience.Defining urban resilience, focusing on post-epidemic characteristics, and selecting theories supporting adaptive systems, sustainable development and collaborative governance are discussed.Secondly,Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)generates topic-keyword content, distribution, and network relationships by reducing pre-determined artificial tendencies. The hotspots and potential connections of urban resilience research in the post-epidemic era are dissected, and the factors influencing resilience in the new period are initially identified while dimensionalizing them by combining the above theories.A case study of six major Chinese cities with existing policies and performance in the post-epidemic era is analyzed, and the influencing factors are supplemented, adjusted and identified by the Delphi method. The final model of urban resilience in the post-epidemic era consists of four dimensions and eighteen factors: system environment(multifunctional green space in the city, etc.);system physical elements(penetration of digital services, etc.);system actor elements(community emergency response capacity, etc.);and system structure(degree of stakeholder collaboration,etc.).Third,for mechanistic analysis,we further explore the hierarchy, association, causality and centrality among factors influencing urban resilience in the post-epidemic era.An integrated approach,DEMATEL-TAISM,which combines the Decision and Experiment Evaluation Laboratory Method with an improved Interpretative Structural Modelling,is used to improve the accuracy and reliability.A confrontational multilevel recursive structural model of urban resilience influencing factors in the post-epidemic era was developed and divided into six layers, where natural-human factors of compound shock experience, economic strength, and human capital mobility factors are located in the essential causative layer with strong driving forces. The availability of basic services, civic awareness, community emergency response capacity, and easy-to-implement regulatory system are in the proximate causal layer with high centrality, which directly affects urban resilience. Two loops in the system are analyzed as important associated pathways, one of which is in the transitional causal layer, integrated governance platform for early warning, monitoring and adaptive learning, local government information transparency, regional integration, and stakeholder collaboration degree is more necessary for integrated control to reduce the possibility of adverse transmission. Finally,it puts forward people-oriented social urban planning;multi-level and participatory urban governance model;urban design of organic life;economic innovation and technological empowerment to improve urban smart resilience.Planning in the post-epidemic period can be more scientific and reasonable with such a theory as a guide to action priorities.
