Research On Monumental Landscape Design Based On Red Culture

With the development of China’s economy and society and the continuous improvement of people’s material level,the country is paying more and more attention to the construction of spiritual civilisation,actively promoting the development of red culture and ushering in a golden stage of development for red tourism throughout the country.From the perspective of the historical development process of the Chinese nation,red culture is the soul of the Chinese revolution and an important part of the country’s culture.In order to better understand our country’s development history,our current situation and future development direction,we need to constantly look back at history,never forget our original heart and draw strength and inspiration from the revolutionary spirit.The essence of a red cultural monumental landscape is to create a thematic space with revolutionary connotations so that visitors can remember history in the landscape,which is conducive to inspiring people’s national spirit,gathering patriotic strength and carrying forward the revolutionary spirit and will to fight.The old revolutionary region of Linyi,known throughout the country as a red holy land,provided a solid material basis for the birth of the spirit of Yimeng.The spirit of Yimeng is a valuable revolutionary spirit of perseverance and indomitable spirit demonstrated by the people of the Linyi region during China’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and War of Liberation.Studying the red culture of the Linyi region is conducive to passing on history and culture,promoting the national spirit and enhancing cultural confidence.However,there are still problems of inadequate use of landscape and cultural resources,lack of overall planning and innovation,and lack of awareness of heritage in the protection and development of the local red cultural landscape in Linyi.Therefore,this thesis chooses to take Linyi’s red cultural landscape as the research object in order to promote the dual development of the material and spiritual values of red culture in the Linyi region and to contribute to solving the problems in Linyi’s red cultural landscape.This thesis takes the monumental landscape design of red culture as the research object,and takes the Yimeng Spirit Memorial Square as the practical object to explore in depth the spiritual function of the monumental landscape,focusing on the expression of emotion and the inheritance of history and culture,with the aim of exploring how to apply the red cultural elements of the Yimeng region to the monumental landscape design.Firstly,the research status and development trend of monumental landscape at home and abroad are summarised and analysed,and the research background,purpose and significance of the selected topic are clarified.On this basis,the theoretical bases of environmental behavioural psychology,semiotic theory,spirit of place and spatial narrative theory are constructed.Based on the connotations of the four theories,the connotations and extensions of red culture,monumental landscape and monumental landscape design of red culture are defined,and the three major types and value significance of monumental landscape are analysed and summarised.According to the relevant theories,two classic cases,Nanjing Yuhuatai Martyrs’ Cemetery and Xibaipo Scenic Area,are selected for discussion and analysis,summarising their characteristics in terms of site selection,theme,spatial sequence,colour and plant configuration,learning their forms of monumental expression of people and events,understanding the spatial characteristics and development trends of modern monumental landscapes,proposing the design objectives and design concepts of Yimeng Spirit Memorial Square,and constructing The planning layout of "one axis,one way,four zones and many nodes",the detailed elaboration of the ten landscape nodes and the later special design.The design principles of highlighting the red theme,reflecting history,emphasising monumentality and artistry,integrating the "Spirit of Yimeng" into the landscape environment,and creating a landscape design that highlights the connotations of local red culture.Through the monumental landscape,patriotic feelings are evoked and the national spirit is united,creating a comprehensive patriotic education base that integrates experience,science,education and leisure.Finally,the design points of monumental landscape are summarised,which will hopefully be useful for future research on modern monumental landscape planning and design.
