| With the development of the economy and the continuous improvement of people’s material living standards,the construction intensity and quantity of various reading spaces in historical and cultural districts are on the rise.As one of the functional and cultural spaces in historical neighborhoods,reading space has the problems of being disconnected from the context,homogenized in style,strong commercial atmosphere,and single function.With the rapid development of China’s cultural industry,people’s demand for reading space has gradually become diversified,specialized,and systematic.Traditional reading space can no longer meet people’s needs.Reading space is not only the carrier and embodiment of the spirit of the place,but also one of the functional spaces that meet people’s needs to acquire knowledge and understand the world.Good spatial construction is of great significance for cultural heritage.At the same time,reading space that meets people’s diverse usage needs has an adsorption effect on the population of historical blocks,which can further promote cultural heritage.Nowadays,the relationship between reading space and context in historical blocks is becoming increasingly close.In order to strengthen the connection between context and space,and provide more construction ideas for reading space in historical blocks,it is necessary to further explore the design of reading space in historical blocks from the perspective of context inheritance,propose corresponding design strategies,form more distinctive spatial styles and perfect spatial functions,and provide better services for people.Based on the above,this paper starts from the perspective of context inheritance,takes the reading space of Jinan historical blocks as the research object,selects Furong Street Baihuazhou historical and cultural blocks as the main research samples,and conducts field research on the reading space of Jinan historical blocks on the basis of context related theories,cultural elements and expression characteristics of historical blocks,and place spirit theories,combining excellent cases at home and abroad to summarize the design points.By analyzing the social and policy backgrounds,as well as the current research status at home and abroad,the research status and problems are sorted out,and the research purpose and significance,content,methods,and innovation points of this article are summarized;Through basic theoretical research,the relevant theories of context,cultural elements and expression characteristics of historical blocks,and the theory of place spirit were elaborated,laying the foundation for future research;By conducting on-site research and distributing survey questionnaires on reading spaces in four different districts of Jinan,it was concluded that there are common problems in reading spaces,such as poor cultural heritage,fragmented cultural context,homogenized style,and incomplete functions and infrastructure.This provides a basis for the subsequent update and renovation,and proves the necessity and importance of the renovation design of reading spaces in the district;Based on the lessons learned from excellent cases both domestically and internationally,as well as the previous research and research results,corresponding design principles and strategies are derived;Taking the Furong Street Baihuazhou Historical and Cultural Block in Jinan as a case for design practice,based on the above research results and the basic overview of the block,three reading space design forms of reservation,juxtaposition,and translation and the corresponding space image shaping techniques are used to practice the cultural heritage effect of the reading space in the historical block in Jinan with the actual scheme rebate theme,in order to activate the site vitality and improve people’s reading quality. |
