New technologies and techniques are emerging in the construction industry every day,and the demand for infrastructure construction has increased,so there is an urgent need for a number of high-quality professional construction management personnel who understand construction technology and management techniques.However,looking at the side of the supply of talent,we are facing the problem of "Tough Employment-hunting".To alleviate the contradiction between the supply and demand of talents,it is necessary to build a bridge of connection-"High Person-post Matching".However,the core theoretical basis of this thesis," Outcomes-based Education",provides a tailored solution to this issue.It is an educational concept that is based on the final "learning outcomes" of the students,which means that the goal of the curriculum design and implementation is the "learning outcomes(actual competency outcomes)" that students will achieve after completing the entire course.This study takes the "Construction Organization and Management" course as the "ground of research",and takes "Outcomes-based Education" as the guide to construct a professional core curriculum to cultivate competencies.Taking the specific and clear " front-line construction management personnel construction organization ability" as the " learning results",which obtained from the analysis of the basic stage of this study as the guide.Based on this,the four systems of objectives,content,implementation and evaluation of the curriculum are designed in order to optimize the curriculum and improve the quality of the core curriculum of secondary vocational schools in the field of Construction Engineering,so as to improve the ability of graduates and achieve a high Person-post Matching.Throughout the first and second chapters of this thesis,which gradually develop the background of the study from the call of the times to the author’s professional drive,step-by-step focusing on the macro to the micro level.Then further analyze the background of the times,the current status of the study,the significance of the study.Step-by-step to set the research methodology,and definition of relevant concepts for the study.Based on the current situation of cultivating talents in construction engineering in secondary vocational schools,and using "Outcomes-based Education" as the theoretical basis and curriculum optimization tool,this study is aimed at exploring the objectives,content,implementation,and evaluation of the "Construction Organization and Management" curriculum.And this study was carried out according to the following logic.First is the fundamental study,which is Chapter 3 to Chapter 5.This part of the research analyzes the information on the enrollment brochures of 22 sample schools in Chongqing in 2022(some schools in 2021)and the Talent Development Program.The dynamic level of the study was conducted by means of a questionnaire to map the construction organization skills of the students who were on-site internships at the school where this study was conducted,and to dig into the problems and causes of construction organization skills cultivation.Then,by extracting the elements from the Vocational Standards for Construction Site Professionals of Construction and Public Utilities and related documents as well as the latest recruitment documents of 20 construction enterprises in Chongqing,finally identified 2 primary indicators,9 secondary indicators,and the corresponding actual achievement materials.Through an in-depth analysis of "Outcomes-based Education",this study identifies the "learning outcome" of "Construction organization ability of front-line construction management personnel" as the ultimate value orientation for the reconstruction of this curriculum in secondary vocational schools.Then further into the core content,chapters 6 to 8,are the process of reconstructing and practicing the four major systems of course objectives,course content,course implementation,and course evaluation for this course.Chapter 6 takes Chongqing Y Vocational Education Center as an example to construct the curriculum design of the course under the OBE concept in order to implement the detailed elements of construction organization ability cultivation;Chapter 7 is a demonstration of the experimental study in the school,with experimental and control classes,the experimental class is taught under the guidance of OBE theory,and the control class follows the traditional teaching method.In Chapter 8,the effectiveness of the OBE-optimized curriculum design and implementation was analyzed by comparing the pre-post tests and process evaluation of these two classes,which showed the practical effectiveness of the OBE-optimized curriculum in developing and improving the construction organization skills of students.Chapter 9 is an overview based on the research analysis in the previous chapters,and is a reflection on the problems and shortcomings of this study and the further research which needs to be continued.
