| As a new type of transportation with relatively low cost, short construction period and environmental protection, modern trams have been revived in major cities since 2013.In the suburbs of Chengdu, modern trams is also a new type of public transportation that is "substitute for regional traffic".In December 2018,it created the first tram line in Southwest China. However, modern trams also exposed many problems such as inconvenient access for pedestrians, unreasonable site selection, and idle surrounding land. Therefore, this paper takes Chengdu tram line 2 as an example, introduces space syntax to quantitatively evaluate the accessibility of 35 tram stations, and summarizes the structural characteristics of each type of station space and the related influencing factors of accessibility.Analyze the internal relationship between land use/pedestrian behavior and station space, and propose renovation plans and suggestions for optimizing the accessibility of tram station.Firstly, this paper briefly reviews the development history of domestic and foreign tram, and sorts out the relevant concepts and basic principles of using space syntax to evaluate the accessibility of urban transportation.Clarify the research object: tram station space, and divide it into three types: center-radial shape, regular grid shape and comprehensive shape according to the space form.Select the topological axis method from the perspective of space syntax, and construct an accessibility evaluation system composed of seven variables:Integration,Intelligence,Choice, etc.Using Depthmap to compare the value of each index, and analyzes the variation, correlation and spatial representation.Secondly, taking the correlation of the interaction among "traffic-land-pedestrians" as the key point. The influencing factors of accessibility are divided into two parts: land-use and pedestrian behaviors.Using Arc GIS to analyze the nuclear density of various land use distributions and calculate the land use composite degree, and explore the correlation and trend between land use and space syntax. In addition, using PSPL research method, the pedestrian behavior in the station space is divided into two categories: necessary and nonnecessary behaviors, and the pedestrian traffic of each station is collected.By analyzing the correlation between space syntax and pedestrian behavior, the most suitable spatial characteristics for pedestrian activity are summarized. Finally, two kinds of improvement plans for the accessibility of the existing station space is proposed, including road network structure and the function of land use.The research results are applied to the future tram station planning and reasonable predictions,in order to provide a certain theoretical basis for the convenience of pedestrian at the tram station, the optimization of the site location, the rational land use of the station space, and the coordination with other traffic, etc. |
