Subway traffic is closely related to urban space and people’s daily life.Walking is the main way to connect subway traffic, the design of station area’s walking space is reasonable or not directly affects the use efficiency of subway traffic, and indirectly affects the spatial form of station area.Especially for residential stations, station walking space is more closely related to people’s daily life. However, due to the influence of the car-based concept, the station construction is not synchronized with the urban development, and the limitation of the station area, there are still some problems in the construction of residential subway station area(hereinafter referred to as residential station area),and the station area walking space still needs to be optimized and improved. Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to discuss the strategies for optimizing the walking space of residential stations.Based on the relevant theories of urban walking space and subway station walking space, and based on the analysis of the related characteristics of nanjing living station area, this paper divides the four levels of use demand of walking space in living station area from the perspective of users. Then, six typical residential subway stations in Nanjing were selected to establish a status quo investigation and evaluation system consisting of four criteria level indexes, such as continuity, safety, convenience and comfort, and 20 index level indexes, such as density and integrity of pedestrian network, and conducted in-depth investigation and research.According to the score of each index of each station and the results of field investigation, the main problems existing in four levels are summarized as follows: the quality level of footpath needs to be improved, the safety of walking is not guaranteed, the convenience of walking is not high, and the humanization care needs to be strengthened, and the current problems are evaluated.According to the evaluation results of the current problems,it is divided into two parts of short-term optimization measures and long-term optimization strategies according to the importance and difficulty of solving.Among them, the recent optimization measures mainly focus on the optimization of the relatively easy to solve problems, including ensuring the effective width of the walking path, guaranteeing the right of way for pedestrians, improving barrier-free facilities, optimizing the access to walking, improving the quality of walking space, etc. The long-term optimization strategy mainly focuses on the optimization of the difficult problems, including improving the efficiency of walking, optimizing the scale of walking space, improving the connection of public transport, enriching the spatial form of nodes, and puts forward the ideal state model for the development of walking space in residential stations. |
