Research On User Space Design Strategy Of Public Library Based On Activity Theory

The development trend of public libraries in the future has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life.With the great changes of users,space environment and technical support in public libraries,users’ demands for activities carried out by public libraries are also increasing.Based on the investigation and analysis of the current situation of public libraries,this thesis finds that the traditional mode of public libraries has been unable to meet the needs of users for activity expansion,and activity theory is involved in the design process of user space of public libraries under this situation.User space design based on activity theory is still in the exploratory stage.The systematic research and summary of the user space of public library and the corresponding design strategy can promote the sustainable development of domestic public library and give full play to the social value of public library.This thesis,taking the public library user space as the research object,in theory,activity theory,spheres of environmental behavior and other related theory as the foundation,from the case analysis and practical investigation,this thesis summarizes the problems existing in the current situation of the development,the internal and external factors affecting the analysis discussion,discusses the specific design method and design strategies to solve the problem,based on empirical research on Nanjing Lishui library project.It is hoped that the research results of this thesis can provide some references for the construction and development of public libraries in China.The thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which focuses on the research background and summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and expounds the research purpose,significance,theoretical basis,research content,research methods and research framework of this thesis.The second chapter analyzes and expounds the development and change of the user space of public library on the basis of relevant theories,and interprets the relevance of "user","activity" and "space".Finally,through the analysis and discussion of some specific cases of public library,the development trend of the design of public library in the future is explored.In the third chapter,three typical cases are selected for field research.Through observation method and satisfaction questionnaire survey method,the current problems of public libraries are summarized,and the relevant influencing factors are analyzed and discussed,providing a research basis for the subsequent research on the design objectives,design principles and design methods of public library user space.The fourth chapter is the research focus of this thesis,from three aspects of activity expansion,circle construction,environmental performance of the public library user space design strategy.Chapter five takes Lishui Library in Nanjing city as an example to illustrate the specific application process of the design strategy proposed in this thesis in engineering practice,and completes the design evaluation.The sixth chapter summarizes the research results of this thesis,points out the innovation and shortcomings of the research,and analyzes and discusses how to carry out follow-up research.The full text is about 70,000 words and contains 109 charts,including 62 pictures and47 tables.
