Study On The Shape Characteristics And Protection Strategies Of Ancient City Wall In Shanxi Province

The Ancient China is one of the world’s four countries of great ancient civilizations,has a long history and culture,lasting for thousands of years.As the gathering place of human life,the city embodies the achievements of ancient science and technology.The city wall is a very important element in the urban space and plays an important role in the urban planning pattern and defense system.Shanxi Province is located in the North China Plain of China and goes deep into the hinterland of China.On the north side is the nomadic people.It is an important defense and war area in ancient times.Therefore,urban construction in Shanxi province attaches great importance to defense performance,and walls will be built outside many cities.In addition,Shanxi Province is adjacent to the Yellow River in the West and Taihang in the East,forming a relatively closed unit,and a large number of city walls remain in the province.However,In the wake of the acceleration of urbanization in the past few decades,the city wall has hindered the development of the city.Therefore,many cities have demolished the city wall in order to develop the economy.Due to the particularity of the city wall,the city wall cannot be moved at will,which leads to the city wall being located in the natural environment for a long time and being exposed to the wind and sun.It also causes the damage of the city wall and seriously affects the value of the city wall.This paper combines architecture,civil engineering and cultural relics protection,makes a detailed field investigation on the preservation status of Shanxi Province,in order to understands the preservation status and disease types of Shanxi ancient city wall,systematically combines relevant practical experience,and takes targeted protection measures.Firstly,the paper studies the background of the ancient city wall.Considering that the ancient city wall is closely related to the formation of the city,and the interaction between the city wall and the city also needs to be considered in the later protection work,this paper makes a detailed study on the construction process,material composition,composition system,development and evolution of the ancient city wall in Shanxi Province,and systematically and comprehensively understands the background of the ancient city wall in Shanxi Province.Secondly,the preservation status of ancient city walls in Shanxi Province is studied.In order to better understand the current situation,the Pianguan ancient city,the Jinyang ancient cityw and the Guoyu ancient city as selected for investigation.Finally,the protection of ancient city wall in Shanxi Province is studied.This paper puts forward the protection principles and protection suggestions for the ancient city wall,and believes that it can be studied from two perspectives: the body protection and the overall protection of the ancient city wall in Shanxi Province.The paper studies from multiple perspectives and finally believes that:(1)The protection of the ancient city wall in Shanxi Province is a systematic project.The protection of the ancient city wall should be based on the principles of "repairing the old as the old","minimum interference","proper use of technology","systematicness" and "sustainability".In the protection,we should pay attention to the overall protection,dynamic protection,harmonious protection of the environment and professionalism of the team.(2)For the protection of the ancient city wall,we should pay attention to taking different protection measures according to the different preservation status.For well preserved areas,daily maintenance is required,such as removing animals,plants and garbage deposits,paying attention to waterproof and drainage,and paying attention to daily supervision and prevention and control.For areas with poor preservation,attention should be paid to maintenance.If necessary,new technical means such as grouting and bolt reinforcement can be adopted.The areas with poor preservation or even no preservation shall be repaired.During the repair,attention shall be paid to the selection of raw materials,construction technology and waterproof system.(3)We can use the theory of heritage corridor to connect the ancient city wall in Shanxi Province and its surrounding cultural resources,take authenticity,dynamics and systematicness as the protection principle,follow the integrity of internal subsystems and the integrity of surrounding environment.Pay attention to the coordinated protection of city walls and cities,and reasonably plan the protection areas,tourist routes and interpretation system.(4)When using management means to protect the ancient city wall,the protection of the ancient city wall can be carried out from the perspectives of law,security system,professional team and public participation.We should pay attention to the importance of laws,improve relevant laws and regulations,strengthen the publicity of laws,and improve the level of law enforcement team;Do a good job in the registration system of the ancient city wall,improve the way of financial support and management;We should cultivate professional talents and strengthen the exchange between talents and international exchanges;We should understand the benefits of public participation and broaden the level of public participation.
