Research On The Protection And Renewal Design Of Suzhou Ancient City Wall And Its Environment

The ancient city wall of Suzhou has experienced more than two thousand and five hundred years of historical changes,which is the symbol and symbol of Suzhou history.With the development of modern city and the progress of material civilization,the ancient city wall of Suzhou has been destroyed and demolished after losing its original resistance function,and its historical culture and regional characteristics have been gradually reduced.In recent years,Suzhou has begun to realize the protection and development of the ancient city wall.This paper will study the ancient city wall and the "new" ancient city wall and their environmental protection and renewal in the following three aspects.On the one hand,the ancient city wall of Suzhou is the main research object.In the early stage,through the inquiry of historical materials and the collation of references,the historical development and cultural connotation of Suzhou city wall and its environment are combed,and the function and value of Suzhou city wall and its environment in the modern urban landscape environment are affirmed.The second aspect:through on-the-spot investigation and case analysis at home and abroad,it summarizes the experience and methods of the city wall and its environmental protection;combined with the unique cultural characteristics of Suzhou,it analyzes how to protect and update the city wall and its environment in different forms of the ancient city wall of Suzhou.After field investigation and analysis,four kinds of city walls are preserved:the intact ancient brick wall,the damaged ancient city wall,the city wall site with rammed earth left and the new city wall that has been repaired.The main body of the city wall is protected by means of reinforcement and maintenance,status quo preservation and daily maintenance,and the environment of the city wall is updated and protected by means of environmental addition and subtraction.The third aspect:take the ancient city wall of pingmen section as an example,analyze the ancient city wall of pingmen section and its environment.According to the historical and cultural characteristics of the ancient city wall of Suzhou pingmen section,explore the environmental protection and renewal,promote the cultural protection and Landscape Utilization of the ancient city wall of Suzhou,and reproduce the historical and cultural landscape of SuzhouFinally,based on the combing of the historical and cultural context of Suzhou ancient city wall and its environmental protection and renewal,this paper insists on the principle of protection,supplemented by renewal,taking the renewal of the surrounding environment of the ancient city wall as the guide,combining with the concept of ecological design,using vertical greening,ecological greening and other methods to protect and renew the city wall and its environment as a whole.
