| As an important place for residents’ daily passage, leisure exercise and social interaction, walking space in old residential areas is an important part of planning, design and renewal. It plays an important role in dividing functions, guiding traffic and organizing space. In view of the problems such as insufficient parking area and intensified conflict between people and vehicles in the old community in China, this paper proposes an optimal design method for the walking space in the old community based on the relevant theoretical knowledge of transportation science.Through the virtual simulation technology synchronization analysis the behavior of the vehicle and pedestrian path, get people car real-time behavior data, discuss the influences of network form of pedestrian traffic, use of space syntax and mathematical statistics analysis method, discusses the car conflict probability and material space elements, the correlation of space for road network of older communities and path optimization to provide related basis.Starting from the influence of road network organization and road section form on the human-vehicle conflict phenomenon in the old residential areas, this study investigated 15 old residential areas in Tianjin and screened 6 old residential areas under 5 hectares as research sites.First of all,the concept of walking space was determined, the scope of walking space was defined, and the severity of human-vehicle conflict was judged.Based on the characteristics of residents’ travel, the parking distribution and walking routes were determined, the walking behavior needs of users were defined, and the spatial factors influencing the occurrence of human-vehicle conflict were analyzed based on the characteristics of residents’ walking.Secondly, the distribution data of facilities are obtained through field observation, and objective data such as crowd behavior track, vehicle track, person and vehicle flow in different sections, number of parking Spaces and times of conflicts are determined by using moving line observation method and behavior note.Subjective data such as residents’ behavioral needs and preferences are obtained by questionnaire survey and interview.Thirdly,Arc GIS was used to analyze the vehicle flow information map and pedestrian flow information map, analyze the causes of the formation of high-flow areas, and determine the probability of human-vehicle conflict in each road section. Then, based on the analysis of the characteristics of pedestrian space environment in the community, the correlation between pedestrian space environment and pedestrian behavior is summarized. Finally,a virtual simulation model was established to simulate the traffic conditions of the residential area, and the road traffic conditions were evaluated according to the results of the test, and the optimization methods of walking space, road network layout and parking space were proposed.Through the virtual simulation technology, the study verified the important role of pedestrian space design in alleviating the human-vehicle conflict in the old community, and provided quantitative basis and theoretical basis for the construction of parking facilities and the optimization of pedestrian space.A road network and road structure optimization model is proposed from the perspective of "human-vehicle" correlation, with human behavior safety and comfort as the main goal.Determine the optimal form of facility layout in the community, and provide a new guiding method for the renewal of the old community. |
