Frederic Borrel is one of the representatives of French contemporary architects.His works are rich and mysterious,which is called "formal narration".On the basis of inheriting French tradition,Borel is deeply influenced by the contemporary architectural thoughts.He draws inspiration from abstract art,history,place and culture,and forms polysemous morphological language;composition is promoted to an artistic expression;color renders subjective visual feeling.Different from the mainstream“high-tech” in France,Borel takes a unique way of form creation.At the same time,Borel examines architecture and city from an open and diverse perspective.His works convey the understanding of urban life and the deep concern for people’s life.Borel has gained a high reputation for his long-term and intensive research of architectural practice.However,in China,he was only studied in the late 1990 s.In the next 20 years,only cases were introduced and introduced in China.Taking this opportunity,this paper takes Frederic Borel’s architectural thought and creation as the research object,relying on the architect’s books,articles,lectures and foreign related research results,as well as the data obtained from field investigation,comprehensively and systematically arranges his architectural practice,aiming to present the real and comprehensive image of the architect.This paper first analyzes the formation of architect’s architectural thought according to his growth environment and the trend of thought of the times,and combs the architect’s design process through three representative fields according to the time sequence;through the formation of Borrell’s form,artistic composition,poetic color,in-depth analysis of his creative strategy and design techniques,and compared with the French architects of the same period;finally,the general manager of the architectural design of the Institute of architectural design of the Institute of architectural design of the Chinese Academy of Sciences In order to provide reference for Contemporary Chinese architectural practice. |
