| In recent years,the problems existing in the student community have been concerned and solved,new demands have been emphasized and met,the quality of student community has been significantly improved.However,in the process,there are some problems that deviate from the purpose of the university’s renewal and transformation.Among them,the memory crisis caused by the destruction of campus culture and historical context needs to be focused on.Therefore,how to realize the continuation of university history,culture and collective memory is a problem that needs to be focused on and resolved as soon as possible in the student community renewal and transformation.First,the thesis uses related theories,such as Memory and Collective Memory,to form the theory of University Collective Memory;analyzes the five characteristics of University Collective Memory;proposes that the University Collective Memory system is composed of the memory subject(groups,university administrators,professionals,etc.),memory objects(events,nodes,etc.)and memory carriers(material carriers,non-material carriers).Secondly,the thesis introduces the theory of University Collective Memory into the process of university student community renewal and transformation.The elements of student community can be divided into tangible elements and intangible elements,and need to follow the integrity of student community renewal and transformation according to the theory of University Collective Memory,such as the Integrity of University Collective Memory,the Diversity and Suitability of Memory Carriers,the Continuity and Constructiveness of Memory Object,the Subjectivity and Participation of Memory Subject,etc.Finally,the thesis analyzes the practical cases and proposes three basic design patterns of student community renewal and transformation based on the theory of University Collective Memory.Afterwards,the thesis form corresponding student community renewal and transformation strategies from the space-level,the architecture-level(function,shape,technology)and landscape-level(public space,public facilities,vegetation).Based on the theory of University Collective Memory,the thesis puts forward some principles and strategies,discussed how to solve the crisis of memory cognition and memory identity in the process of student community renewal and transformation.On the one hand,it is an attempt to combine the theory of University Collective Memory with the practice of student community renewal and transformation.On the other hand,it is also an expansion how to protecte and inherite the historical context of student community,which will provide some theoretical basis and practical experience for the future university’s renewal and transformation. |
