Research On The Selection Of Subcontractors For Housing Construction Projects Under EPC Mode

Since the reform and opening up of the construction industry,the construction market has become increasingly competitive with the increasing number of construction enterprises,and the construction industry is facing huge competitive pressure from home and abroad.the EPC model is widely used in the field of engineering construction because of its advantages such as short bidding and construction cycle,simple contractual relationship,relatively low cost,and clear rights and responsibilities.With the increasing number of subcontractor enterprises,the comprehensive capabilities of subcontractors also vary slightly.For the general contractor,selecting the best subcontractor and establishing a long-term and stable general subcontracting partnership is one of the important links to improve the overall economic benefits of the project,so it is important to select the ideal subcontractor for the smooth implementation of EPC mode projects in the construction industry.This paper,from the perspective of a general contractor of construction projects,focuses on how the general contractor selects the optimal subcontractor under the EPC model based on existing domestic and foreign research and relevant theories.By analyzing the current situation of evaluation and selection of subcontractors in housing EPC projects,exploring the difficulties and problems in the process of selecting the optimal subcontractor in housing EPC projects,using literature analysis method to summarize and filter the subcontractor selection indexes studied by scholars in the past,and screening out 25 original indexes with high research frequency.The importance of indicators was quantified using the questionnaire method,and the indicators with substandard importance were removed to finally determine 5 dimensions and 22 evaluation indicators.After analyzing the commonly used evaluation methods,this paper decided to use AHP method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to construct the subcontractor selection model,firstly using AHP method to calculate the weight of each index,then using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to comprehensively evaluate the index system,and using weighted average method to weight the fuzzy comprehensive results for scoring.Finally,an example analysis is conducted for the housing construction H project in Wangcang County,Guangyuan City,and the model constructed in the paper is applied to evaluate and select three subcontractors to verify the validity and feasibility of the model.This paper conducts an in-depth study on the evaluation of subcontractor selection,constructs an evaluation model on the basis of establishing an index system,and uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to build a more complete analysis and evaluation framework,which has certain theoretical value and provides reference and suggestions for the reasonable and efficient selection of subcontractors for general contractors of current housing construction projects in China.
