Research On The Construction Of Public Space In Old Villages In Suzhou Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization

In the new era,the principal contradiction facing society has changed.In the face of the new development pattern,promoting rural revitalization has become an inevitable requirement.Comprehensively promoting rural revitalization is a major task to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and it is an important part of building a dual-cycle development pattern based on the domestic cycle.Creating a good village public space is the key link and main aspect of realizing rural revitalization.Rural public space is the most intuitive display of rural appearance and the basic condition for whether residents’ lives are livable,at the same time,it also is the basic platform for ecological conservation,industrial development and cultural shaping.As a highly urbanized developed area,Suzhou’s urban and rural construction level ranks among the forefront of the country,but many places still show obvious differences in urban and rural development in terms of living environment and community spatial layout.The purpose of this paper is to focus on rural public space,and strive to explore the functions and realization paths of rural public space in improving the rural living environment,promoting the prosperity of rural industries,and meeting the living needs of residents,so as to enhance residents’ sense of gain and happiness and promote rural revitalization.Combined with the actual situation of the old village of H in Suzhou,fielded research on the problems in the construction of public spaces in the village,Analyzed the root cause of the problems,and finally proposed a building strategy,and tries to abstract some common factors in the transformation of old villages,providing some references for the construction of public space in other areas.The research method mainly adopts the method of combining case studies and fieldwork,and combines theory and practice to explore the problem of rural public space construction.The main research contents and conclusions of this paper include: First,on the basis of the research results of other scholars in related fields,combined with the survey results,expounded the basic properties of rural public space and the key factors affecting its development and change,as well as the value connotation and significance of rural public space transformation.Second,through field observation,interviews and other methods to conduct field investigations,it was found that there are problems such as environmental pollution of public space,backward landscape,insufficient supply,unreasonable layout,and low construction level in H Village.Third,with the help of Bourdieu field theory,the problems formed are analyzed,it is found that the habits of various actors in the village,the competition between different actors,the loose sense of community,and the externalities of the environment are the direct reasons for the formation of the current situation of the public space in the village.The relationship between people and land is the root cause of the problem of public space,and the population structure of the village and environmental externality are the key factors restricting the construction of rural public space.Fourth,to meet people’s needs,promote industrial development,and protect the ecological environment as the starting point,according to which the strategy of clarifying property rights,introducing social organizations,condensing the community consciousness of the new village community,"three-life integration" three-dimensional development,and formulating village rules and covenants has been proposed.The main innovation of this paper is reflected in taking rural public spaces as the starting point to ameliorate the rural living environment,realize the construction of beautiful villages.And tried to analyze the causes of problems in rural public spaces according to Bourdieu field theory,and dissected the logic of action of various forces in the field of the village,so as to propose the construction strategy of the old village public space.However,subject to the actual conditions and objective factors,the approach taken in the construction strategy is relatively conservative.Therefore,there are still research deficiencies in the construction strategy,and further exploration and research can be done in the future.
