Since its birth,virtual reality technology has attracted the attention of scholars.How to apply it in teaching practice is a topic that educational technology researchers have been exploring.As an extension of traditional two-dimensional media,virtual reality technology has become a major development trend to integrate virtual reality technology into classrooms.Born in the medical teaching field,PBL can effectively cultivate students’ problem-solving ability.PBL needs to carry out teaching activities in a real situation,and virtual reality technology can quickly and easily provide a learning environment that is the same as the real situation.Therefore,this paper explores the impact of PBL teaching in the VR environment on the problem-solving ability of vocational students.This research applies research methods such as literature research method,quasi-experimental method,scale survey method and statistical analysis method to explore the PBL instructional design in the VR environment.Applying instructional design to classroom practice to explore the impact of virtual reality learning environment on the problem-solving ability of vocational students.Select 61 students from the art department of a higher vocational college in Shanxi where the author works as the experimental subjects,and conduct a teaching experiment for 2 months and 8 weeks.Through teaching practice,this paper studies the influence of VR environment on students’ problem-solving ability and problem-solving ability,which is decomposed into three dimensions: problem-solving attitude,problem-solving method,and problem-solving quality.During the experiment,both groups of students adopted the PBL teaching method.The experimental group solved problems in a VR environment,and the control group solved problems in a traditional learning environment.By analyzing the experimental data,it is found that there is no significant difference in the problem-solving ability between the experimental group and the control group after the implementation of PBL teaching activities,but there are significant differences in the method of problem-solving;both the experimental group and the control group use PBL as the main teaching method.After PBL teaching,the problem-solving abilities of both the experimental group and the control group were improved;the VR environment did not have a significant impact on the cultivation of students’ problem-solving ability.control group results.From this,the author draws the following conclusions: First,the application of PBL teaching method in the higher vocational classroom can cultivate the problem-solving ability of the higher vocational students.Second,the VR environment does not have a significant impact on the cultivation of vocational students’ problem-solving ability.Third,as a supplement to teaching,the application of virtual reality in vocational classroom training can promote the mastery of theoretical knowledge of vocational students.
