Research On Renewal Strategy Of Community Public Space Based On Tactical Urbanism

In the context of stock renewal,due to the lack of market power for the renewal of community public space and the weak social public awareness of residents,the community public space is facing the problems of material decline and the loss of residents’ sense of identity,resulting in the loss of vitality of the community.Through the methods of literature research and field investigation,this paper analyzes the community public space and finds that the renewal of community public space is facing new contradictions and difficulties,which makes the traditional top-down comprehensive planning focusing on grand narration more and more difficult to meet the needs of "capillary" community fine governance.Therefore,it is necessary to find an appropriate renewal path to promote the sustainable development of the community.Based on this,this paper introduces the perspective of tactical urbanism,combs the development background of tactical urbanism,analyzes its theoretical basis and method characteristics,and finds that the experimental,low-cost,reversible and other characteristics and advantages of tactical urbanism can be applied to the renewal of community public space.Then,taking the Youyi Jiayuan community as an example,based on the investigation,analysis,and problem diagnosis of community public space,this paper explores the possibility and methods of applying tactical urbanism to carry out community renewal,to provide a reference for the renewal of community public space in the new era.Firstly,by combing the development background and research status of community public space and tactical urbanism,and analyzing the relevant theories of community renewal(including community governance,community construction,micro renewal,community participation,place construction,etc.),this paper summarizes the hot issues and key research directions of current community renewal theory and practice.This paper constructs the theoretical basis and path method of community public space renewal from the perspective of tactical urbanism and puts forward the operation steps and characteristics of tactical urbanism and the strategy of its application in community public space renewal.Secondly,combined with literature and case studies,this paper makes a preliminary analysis of the problem of community public space in Beijing and points out the interaction mechanism between material space and residents’ social use in community public space.Therefore,it is considered that the renewal of community public space can guide community participation,endow community ability and stimulate space vitality through the method of tactical urbanism.Finally,in the empirical research,taking the Youyi Jiayuan community as an example,through the full investigation of the current situation of community public space,this paper diagnoses the community public space from three aspects: the mismatch between the supply and demand of facilities and public space,the poor quality of public space and the insufficient participation of residents,and then discusses the strategies and practical methods of tactical renewal in Youyi Jiayuan community.The results show that,first,the main problems faced by the current community public space are material decay and insufficient residents’ participation,resulting in the lack of vitality of the community;Second,tactical urbanism has the characteristics of timeliness,reversibility,and low cost.It can effectively solve the problems of diversified needs,untimely renewal and maintenance,and insufficient participation of residents in community public space;Thirdly,combined with the investigation of the Youyi Jiayuan community,this paper puts forward the low-cost and progressive renewal test method and the joint construction method of multi-party participation to solve the degradation of its public space.
