Currently,state-gate System(SGS)is the common development methodology of new product development projects in the automotive electronic parts industry,that is,the development process is divided into several continuous and linear stages,each stage is separated by the door channel.The door path management system is conducive to achieve the goal of collecting front-end requirements and finally developing product consistency,but its ability to cope with changes is weak.It is usually more suitable for development projects with large investment,clear requirements and few changes.In emerging industries,such as Internet software,agile development,or iterative development,is prevalent,usually in two to four weeks.Recently,in order to better meet the changing needs of consumers,especially those related to software,the electric vehicle enterprises have adopted the agile theory in the development process and shortened the development cycle to 18 months or even less.With the increase of innovation demand,the demand for new products is not clear at the initial stage of development,and the market for new products is not obvious at the later stage,that is,OEMs may not adopt this technology in the end,so the door path development mode is not appropriate.Agile development,on the other hand,iterates too frequently,contradicting reliability and safety verification in the automotive industry,and cannot be applied completely.Therefore,it is urgent to explore a new product development model,which is suitable for automotive electronic parts industry in order to solve the problems of multi-round verification,long development cycle and slow response to change.In this paper,an auto parts supplier A company is as the research object,for its current product development process,personnel structure,development process,product development evaluation and other aspects of research.The characteristics of gateway management system,Product And Cycle-time Excellence(PACE),integrated development And agile development mode are discussed.In this paper,PACE theory is applied to product strategy selection,demand analysis is carried out based on $APPREASL tool from IPD and considered with the characteristics of auto parts factory,structural process optimization is carried out by agile iterative method,and personnel organizational structure is analyzed by design structure matrix and core team concept of IPD.It is found that the project manager responsibility is too small,not conducive to the management of product development process.Combined with the door path management system and agile development concept,the existing development mode of A company is analyzed,and it is found that the current new Product development mode is based on the door path management system mode,combined with the development mode of Advanced Product Quality Planning(APQP)in the automotive industry.The linear systems are less able to cope with change.In addition,the introduction of development evaluation system,scientific evaluation of product development process,is to stimulate the innovative spirit of employees.In order to verify the practicability of the new development method,A power controller of A company is taken as an application case to discuss the practical effect of the new product development process under the new development mode.In this development process,the partial iterative development mode is applied to reduce the duration of integration verification and shorten the development cycle.Meanwhile,the comprehensive evaluation index is used to better evaluate the product development process and improve the satisfaction of management.Therefore,part of the agile development mode can be applied to the reliability and safety verification requirements of parts development in auto parts factories.
