In recent years,with the development of economy and the improvement of scientific and technological level,people’s attention and demand for health have gradually increased.Health is no longer limited to traditional physical health,but extends to psychological comfort.As the most frequently used place for middle school students,the middle school classroom plays an important role in the learning and development of middle school students.At present,there have been relatively complete research results on the layout and education system of middle school campus buildings in our country,but the research on ordinary classrooms in middle schools has not attracted much attention.With the development of urbanization and the expansion of population size,there is a contradiction between the continuous growth in middle school construction and the tight construction period.As a result,the design of a large number of middle school classrooms only meets the standard requirements,while the design style and design form are solidified.At present,a large number of buildings still follow the linear combination pattern of rectangular single spaces in the 1960 s and 1970 s,which ignores the health needs of middle school students to a certain extent.Middle school students spend 80% of their daily time in the classroom,and the classroom environment has a significant impact on their physical health and psychological comfort.The average height of current middle school students has increased by nearly 10 cm compared to the 1980 s.In addition,middle school students have high academic pressure and common negative emotions in recent years.As a result,the physical health needs and psychological comfort needs of middle school students are different from those in the past.At the same time,middle school students are at a critical stage of growth,and their bodies and minds are facing great changes.So they have special needs for the environment.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the design of middle school classrooms under the concept of health promotion.How to apply the concept of health promotion to middle school classroom design has become the focus of this paper.Based on the above background,this paper introduces the concept of health promotion on the basis of the theory of middle school classroom design,and conducts a comprehensive study on the health design of secondary school classrooms from multiple disciplines and fields for the first time,which innovates its research content and research methods.Taking middle school general classrooms in Guangdong and their external corridor spaces as the research object,this paper firstly combines the relevant theories of health promotion and makes a comprehensive analysis of the problems of middle school classrooms under the concept of health promotion.Then determines the health needs of middle school students for the classroom environment as psychological comfort needs and physical health needs.Researches are carried out from two directions of psychological comfort and physical health.In the chapter of psychological comfort research,the article starts from the perspective of middle school students and is based on literature and a large number of post-use evaluation questionnaire data for the built environment.The potential psychological needs are analyzed through comfort evaluation and subjective use tendency evaluation,and then seven design elements affecting the psychological comfort of middle school students are obtained through factor analysis,so as to propose design guidelines.In the chapter of physical health research,the physical environment evaluation index under the healthy building standard is first established,and then the software simulation method is used to simulate the natural ventilation,light environment and acoustic environment in the classroom.Finally,the design strategy is proposed from the two directions of psychological comfort and physical health guided by the concept of health promotion.In the psychological comfort section,the design strategy of the seven design elements proposed above is deepened,and the design strategy of promoting the physical environment of the middle school classroom is proposed by integrating the three factors of natural ventilation,lighting and sound environment of the classroom in the physical health section.Then comparing the similarities and differences between the design strategies and specifications of middle school classrooms under the concept of health promotion,we can achieve a breakthrough in the direction of traditional middle school classroom design in the direction of health concepts.And taking the actual projects involved by the authors as the practice and verification of the theoretical part,in order to provide a reference for the research and practice of secondary school classrooms in the direction of health promotion.
