From Healing Garden To Healthy Landscape

Recent years, the construction of urban landscape in our country develops rapidly, which makes the renewal of urban appearance is counted on a daily basis. But there are also some problems such as "paying attention to visual sensation of landscape image, ignoring effects of landscape ","emphasizing quantity of landscape, underestimating the quality of landscape" etc., which induced that the construction of urban landscape was in a mechanical way, and landscape space was unsuitable for our activities of daily living. These problems even affected the social public security and people's physical and mental health. So this paper put forward a new concept "Healthy landscape", and combination of health and Urban Landscape. Then the paper proved the necessity and the feasibility of Healthy landscape, and further confirms its goal and significance.Afterwards the paper analyzed the composition of Healthy landscape, and summarized some Healthy landscape design methods, which were applied to analyze two cases - The Elizabeth & Nona Evans Restorative Garden and Shanghai Yanzhong Greenland. Finally, the paper also discussed the development trend of Healthy landscape briefly.
