At present,the traffic organization of China’s road maintenance zone is mostly takes highways as the research object,less research is done on mountainous roads,and the road environment of ordinary trunk roads in mountainous areas is complex,and when road maintenance operations are carried out,it is easy to cause long-distance traffic jams,significantly reducing road capacity.Therefore,it is necessary to study the maintenance operation length and capacity of mountain ordinary trunk roads,reasonably set the road maintenance operation length and improve the traffic operation condition of the maintenance section.This study combines the project,using the artificial investigation method and video recording method,aiming to obtain real traffic data,the road characteristics,driver psychological characteristics and traffic flow characteristics of the road segment,the road maintenance,and the use of mountain road maintenance district signal configuration method,calculating the signal light parameters,providing theoretical basis for simulation research.First,VISSIM was adopted as the main means to carry out the research,calibrate the simulation parameters,determine the appropriate evaluation index,simulate the simulation of each section of the road maintenance zone,and determine the optimum length value according to the clear level evaluation index.Based on the results of the questionnaire,the overall driver can accept the delay time,and the level is divided according to the acceptance level,determine the value of the rational length of the maintenance operation and to give recommendations for the value of special road sections in mountainous areas.Then the theoretical recommended value of the minimum spacing of adjacent maintenance areas is compared with the simulation model value for verification.Secondly,the factors influencing the capacity of mountainous road maintenance zone are analyzed,and the coefficient correction method is combined with the simulation method to simulate the capacity of the main influencing factors such as the length of the working area,the proportion of large vehicles,the slope of the longitudinal slope and the width of the lane,and to derive the corresponding reduction coefficients,and then derive a model applicable to the calculation of the capacity of mountainous road maintenance zone sections in China.Finally,combined with the actual case of a road section in Dazu District,Chongqing City,analyze the current traffic condition of the road section,calculate the traffic capacity of the road section,and propose the improved signal configuration parameters and optimize the maintenance operation length program,output the evaluation index according to VISSIM simulation software,and analyze its improvement effect,The results of the study show that the signal configuration scheme and the reasonable setting of the maintenance operation length in the mountainous pavement maintenance area have certain reference significance for engineering practice.
