A Study On The Genetics Of Cultural Spaces And Strategies For Their Protection And Transmission In Zhengzhou City

With the continuous progress of society,the old planning method of blindly expanding the scale of the city is no longer suitable for urban development,and the refinement and transformation of the old city has gradually become the focus of China’s urban development and is gradually accepted by society.As the root and soul of a city,culture guides the development of the city,and the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage in urban regeneration can avoid the phenomenon of a’one-size-fits-all’ city.Zhengzhou is a national historical and cultural city with thousands of years of civilization accumulated in its urban space,but due to the lack of attention to culture and the lack of exploration of the intrinsic properties and laws of space,there is an imbalance between conservation and development,resulting in the damage of cultural genes,the loss of cultural heritage,the disappearance of cultural spatial characteristics,and the fragmentation of cultural spatial structures within the city.The thesis therefore analyses the evolution of Zhengzhou’s cultural genes and their influence on the city’s morphological structure on the basis of a cultural gene map,extracts the cultural genes by means of the spatial sentence method,and proposes strategies for the protection and transmission of Zhengzhou’s cultural genes.The thesis focuses on the central city of Zhengzhou,which can reflect the characteristics of the city’s morphological structure and early planning ideas,and takes the cultural types with spatial carriers that are more reflective of the city’s overall appearance as the basis for the study of Zhengzhou’s cultural spatial genes and the strategies for their preservation and transmission.Firstly,the research results on cultural genes and spatial genes are summarized,and based on previous research and the inheritance mechanism of biological genes,the steps of cultural spatial gene extraction are determined as "cultural gene extraction-cultural spatial expression traits-cultural spatial mechanism of action analysis-cultural spatial combination pattern".Secondly,the method of cultural gene extraction and cultural genealogy framework construction is summarized based on relevant city cases,and the cultural genes of Zhengzhou city are extracted by combing the major historical nodes and important historical and cultural relics in the development and evolution process of Zhengzhou,combined with the results of questionnaire research.Afterwards,the spatial carriers of the extracted cultural genes in the city are identified,the evolution of individual cultural spaces and the influence of cultural spaces on the morphological structure of Zhengzhou are studied and described,and the spatial syntax model is further introduced to extract the cultural spatial genes of Zhengzhou;finally,with the general principle of balancing conservation and development,a strategy for the conservation and transmission of cultural spatial genes in the central city of Zhengzhou is proposed,in the hope of exploring a reasonable,complete and sustainable cultural The spatial sequence conservation and development model is expected to explore a reasonable,complete and sustainable urban cultural sequence conservation and development model to enhance urban recognizability.
