In recent years,as the starting point of the "Maritime Silk Road",Fujian Quanzhou has received extensive attention in the architecture community.Its coastal settlements are similar to the general traditional villages in terms of geographic location,spatial form,and building types,but they also have unique climate adaptive characteristics.Based on the frequent occurrence of typhoon disasters along the coast of Fujian,the paper selects Xiaocuo Village,a typical coastal settlement in Quanzhou,as the research object.Based on the research methods of literature review,field study,CFD simulation,and comparative analysis,combined with the analysis of research data,the paper summarize the general laws and regulations of Xiaocuo Village’s response to strong wind disasters in terms of settlement site selection,group morphology,building proportions,and construction.The paper is expected to provide a supplement to the research of wind protection and traditional construction wisdom in Quanzhou area,and to provide reference and thinking value for the protection and sustainable development of coastal villages in Quanzhou area.The paper is divided into the following four parts:In the first part,through the literature review of typhoon disasters along the coast of Fujian,related theories and the introduction of CFD research methods,the paper summarize the current research deficiencies,and propose the necessity and feasibility of carrying out wind protection research in Xiaocuo Village,for follow-up research and simulation experiments provide the basic data and technical support.The second part is to sort out the historical overview,settlement evolution,morphological characteristics related data of Xiaocuo Village,the damage of existing buildings and the setting of settlement avoidance site,etc.,and summarize the numerical characteristics of Xiaocuo Village’s settlement pattern and alley space to provide basic data support for subsequent simulation experiments.In the third part,based on the three levels,settlement group,individual building,and structural method,the paper carry out CFD simulation experiment of morphological features Xiaocuo Village(building density,street-lane height-to-width ratio,building spacing,housing ratio,roof ridge type,etc.)。Analyzing the effect of different parameter characteristics on the wind load of the building,the paper obtain the empirical value and general law of its anti-wind effect,combing quantitative and qualitative method.The fourth part summarizes the windproof advantages of Xiaocuo Village in different levels,and proposes corresponding optimization suggestions for the shortcomings.Finally,based on the perspective of wind prevention,propose the protection measures and disaster prevention ideas for the traditional coastal settlements in Quanzhou area against wind disasters.
