Study On The Design Of Urban Public Space In The Hilly And Gully Area Of Northern Shanxi

With the rapid development of new urbanization in China,the design of public space in small and medium-sized towns has attracted much more attention.Because of its special geographical conditions and cultural characteristics,the hilly and gully area in Northern Shanxi has its own congenital advantages of development.However,affected by various factors,there still exist some problems in the public space design to be solved.Based on this background,the public space in this area has been taken as the research object in the paper,and the design of streets,squares and parks has also been discussed,which has a strong pertinence and necessity.Using the theories of environmental psychology,landscape ecology,aesthetics and other related disciplines,this paper aims to build the public space of towns with regional characteristics.First of all,the research content is determined on the basis of the literature review of public space both at home and abroad,direction can be determined.Then,using the horizontal comparison method,typical cases of streets,squares and paks are investigated and analyzed to summarize the existing problems.Based on the design principles of respecting nature,highlighting human elements and showing diversification,guided by social,economic and ecological optimization goals,the corresponding optimization strategies are put forward with reference to the relevant excellent cases.Finally,taking yangqingchuankou of Wuqi County as a practical case,the landscape design is carried out on the basis of analyzing the regional situation and the existing problems in combination with the reginal characteristics and ecological principles.After study of the landscape design of yangqingchuankou public space,this paper summarizes the new thoughts and ideas of the public space design of towns in the hilly and gully areas of Northern Shanxi.It can further guide the similar public space design cases in our country.
