| Pavement marking plays an irreplaceable role in regulating driving behavior and ensuring traffic safety.Traditional reflective pavement markings have insufficient visibility and poor induction effect in severe weather,which seriously affects driving safety.To solve this problem,this paper aims to prepare a self-luminous pavement marking(SLPM)with property of active luminous at night,which is prepared by using epoxy resin as the matrix material and using yellow-green long afterglow material(luminous powder)as the luminous material.And it is beneficial to improve the road visibility at night and ensure the driving safety of driver in severe weather.Firstly,the composition of epoxy-based materials were determined by the mechanical performance and adhesion performance.On this basis,the SLPM was prepared by adding luminous materials to epoxy-based materials,and the optimum component proportions of SLPM were determined by luminous intenstiy test and pull test as well.Afterwards,based on the SLPM prepared,the SLPM of different colors were prepared by mixing yellow-green,blue-green and magenta luminous powder,and the effects of mixing ratio and light source on the afterglow color and luminous intensity of SLPM were further investigated.Finally,the road performance and serve performance of SLPM was evaluated through a series of laboratory tests.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The SLPM prepared meets the basic performance requirements of the Chinese specification,and it has good anti-rut performance,long-term water resistance and alkaline resistance,ageing resistance and adhesion performance.In addition,it could continue to glow for more than 11 hours at night after light absorption during the day.(2)Using the difference in luminous properties of three luminous powders,through different ratios,could be change the afterglow color of SLPM.The luminous intensity and afterglow color of SLPM prepared are related to the mixing ratio between the different luminous powders.The more content of which kind of luminous powder,the greater effect on the afterglow color and the luminous intensity.(3)The adhesion effect between pavement marking and road surface is affected by the nature of pavement marking itself and the type of pavement material.Compare to the cement concrete,the adhesion effect between the asphalt mixture and SLPM is better.(4)The actual luminous performance of SLPM at night during the service is affected by the weather of that day,but the attenuation trend of luminous intensity has nothing to do with the weather.(5)Driving simulate test showed using SLPM on road pavement could improve the safety performance of driving at night.Compared with traditional road marking,the lateral offset of drivers in SLPM road is reduced by 29%. |
