Today, under the tide of economic globalization, the world pays more and more attention to the construction and governance of ecological civilization, and it has increasingly become the consensus of all countries in the world to maintain the ecological homeland and adhere to the harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature. However, while productivity is developing highly, problems such as climate warming, epidemics and ecological pollution have also emerged. The frequent occurrence of ecological crises on a global scale has seriously threatened the survival and development of human beings,so it is urgent to get out of ecological dilemmas, ecological restoration and governance. In Marx’s time, the industrial revolution was in full swing and all aspects of human society were undergoing profound changes. The oppression of the ecological environment by capitalist production came with it,and the living environment of the working class became very harsh as a result.Under the influence of the 18 th century French materialist view of nature, the Hegelian idealist view of nature and the Feuerbachian humanist view of nature,Marx abandoned the ecological ideas of his predecessors. It is under the influence of this foundation that Marx’s Paris Manuscripts(hereinafter referred to as "the Manuscripts")opened the prelude to the study of ecological thought. The ecological thought contained therein, which integrates philosophy with economics and politics,is full of ecological wisdom and presents a new look different from the ecological view of the old philosophy, and is regarded as the genesis of the construction of Marx’s ecological thought.Following the path of Marx’s ecological thought,it is easy to find that the Manuscript takes the relationship between human beings and nature as its logical starting point, from the insight into the dialectical unity of human beings and nature on the basis of practice,to the ecological criticism of the real society under the logic of capital, and then to the theoretical construction of communist society from the abandonment of private property, forming a more complete theoretical structure of ecological thought. In addition, the ecological thought in the text presents three basic features: the systematic nature of the trinity of "nature, man and society",the socio-historical nature of the ecological critique of capitalism, and the human-centered nature of human beings.Although the Manuscript is the logical starting point of Marx’s ecological thought,Marx at the time of the Manuscript was still in the painful period of blending and collision of old and new ideas,so it is necessary to explore the historical position of the ecological ideas contained in it in the history of the development of Marx’s ecological thought and the development of human ecological thought, and to form a clearer understanding.By examining and locating the ecological ideas in the Manuscript and fully exploring their rich contemporary values,it is conducive to our firm ecological position on the unity of life between human beings and nature at the theoretical level, deepening our understanding of the anti-ecological nature of capitalism, and providing theoretical guidelines for the modernization of the harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature. It is also an important guide for the construction of a modern socialist civilization in China and the solution of the global ecological crisis.
