Guangdong’s food culture has a long history and is nurtured by the unique geographical and climatic environment of the south of the country,with a rich and varied connotation and unique characteristics and vitality.However,with the development of society and the impact of foreign cultures,new food habits and behaviours have emerged and gradually changed people’s dietary structure and choices,thus affecting people’s knowledge and understanding of Guangdong’s traditional food culture,which has hindered the transmission and development of its culture.This project takes Guangdong food culture and its visual translation as the main object of research,and interprets Guangdong food culture from the perspective of food anthropology,based on food anthropology research objects and research methods,and devotes itself to the exploration of the expression form and communication methods of the visual translation design of Guangdong food culture symbols,so as to broaden the communication channels of Guangdong food culture through modern design language and present it to the public in a new attitude.In the study of the visual translation design of Guangdong food culture,the research was carried out by reviewing materials and conducting field research,summarising and collating the materials of Guangdong food culture,using case studies to analyse and summarise the current trends in the visualisation of food culture and its dissemination methods,and exploring methods and strategies for the visual translation design of Guangdong food culture symbols.In the design practice,the visual elements of Guangdong food and custom culture are extracted and designed,and Guangdong food and custom culture is presented in a variety of ways,including illustration of Guangdong food and custom culture,design of food and custom brand logo and design of food and custom culture creative derivatives,in order to perpetuate the culture,interpret the cultural connotation and promote the preservation and transmission of culture with the language of design. |
