Research On The Impact Of Digital Transformation On The Green Innovation Performance Of Environmental Protection Enterprise

With the implementation of the "double carbon" strategy and the enhancement of the public’s environmental awareness,the traditional innovation model has not been in line with the concept of sustainable development,while "green innovation",as an innovation model that can reduce pollution emissions and bring economic benefits and environmental benefits,is gradually favored by people.As an important subject of environmental governance,environmental protection enterprises’ production,services and products are all related to "green",so their green innovation level is particularly important.However,China’s environmental protection industry started late and its technology level was relatively backward.At the same time,environmental protection enterprises did not pay attention to long-term development in order to pursue short-term benefits,which led to their low innovation ability and could not meet the growing environmental problems.In recent years,the vigorous development of digital technology has given environmental protection enterprises hope.In the "double carbon" opinion issued by the State Council,it was pointed out that the green environmental protection industry should make full use of emerging technologies such as the Internet and artificial intelligence.Veolia,Beikong,Villy and other environmental protection enterprises have carried out digital transformation to improve their green innovation performance,Whether digital transformation can affect the green innovation performance of environmental protection enterprises has become a topic of concern for scholars.As an environmental protection enterprise,its daily production and operation activities are labeled "green",and its products and innovation achievements are all related to environmental protection,which are green innovations.Based on this,this paper takes Villy as the case object to explore whether the digital transformation of enterprises will have an impact on green innovation performance.The article hopes to solve the following two problems:(1)What impact does digital transformation have on green innovation performance of environmental protection enterprises;(2)What is the impact path of digital transformation on green innovation performance of environmental protection enterprises.Firstly,the paper theoretically analyzes the possible impact of digital transformation on green innovation performance of environmental protection enterprises based on the three aspects of digital transformation from the perspective of dynamic capability theory and other relevant theories,and then uses data envelopment analysis to evaluate the green innovation performance of Villy before and after the digital transformation,and answers the first question by taking CLP Environmental Protection as a comparative enterprise for horizontal comparison;Finally,on the basis of theoretical analysis,the paper analyzes the impact path of digital transformation on Villy’s green innovation performance from three aspects of technology transformation,process transformation and management transformation,and answers the second question above.Through research,the paper finds that digital transformation can improve the green innovation performance of environmental protection enterprises.Its impact path is that technology transformation brings new technologies to enterprises,reduces the cost of green innovation,and increases the output of green innovation;Process transformation has improved the enterprise innovation process and improved the efficiency of green innovation;The management transformation has improved the information asymmetry,eased the financing constraints,improved the enterprise operation level,and brought more capital investment for green innovation activities.The article enriches the research methods,impact consequences and influencing factors of corporate green innovation performance of digital transformation,and also provides reference for other environmental protection enterprises to improve green innovation performance through digital transformation.Finally,it also hopes to make some contributions to the national goal of "double carbon".
