With the rapid development of the global cruise tourism industry,China’s tourism industry has also begun to transform and upgrade, and the cruise industry contains huge development space in China. In recent years, accidents such as power failure, abandonment,or sinking of ocean-going passenger ships caused by fire and water have occurred from time to time. The safety of cruise ships cannot be underestimated.Research on evacuation is an important way to ensure the safety of cruise ships. The International Maritime Organization provides two methods for the evacuation analysis of passenger ships: simplified evacuation analysis and advanced evacuation analysis. The simplified evacuation analysis only estimates the total evacuation time through the relevant parameters of the hull, and the advanced evacuation analysis is based on the computer. This thesis uses maritime EXODUS software to carry out research on the evacuation and transfer simulation of cruise ships based on advanced evacuation analysis methods. The main contents are as follows:(1)Based on the advanced evacuation analysis method in the MSC.1/Circ.1533 guide,an advanced evacuation simulation study was carried out on the target cruise ship. The evacuation simulation of the personnel on the cruise from the initial position to the assembly station and from the assembly station to the embarkation station was carried out.The evacuation time shows that the cruise’s evacuation performance meets the guide’s requirements. The evacuation path and the congested region selected in the evacuation process are analyzed to provide ideas for the design optimization of the cruise ship.(2)Based on the advanced evacuation analysis method and considering that the cruise ship can still return to the port safely in the accident state, personnel transfer simulation research is carried out,and the transfer scheme from the initial position to the assembly station and from the assembly station to the safety zone is proposed. The personnel do not need to evacuate to the embarkation station to abandon the cruise ship to escape, but transfer to the safety zone to wait for the cruise ship to return to the port. The evacuation time and congested region in the simulation process are analyzed to provide references for the design optimization and personnel evacuation of the cruise ship and similar ships.(3)For special scenarios not covered in the MSC.1/Circ.1533 guidelines, considering the situation that mobility impaired passengers are concentrated in a certain region and the inclined or rolling state of the hull, the evacuation simulation of personnel is carried out.The evacuation of the positive floating of the hull and the inclined or rolling state of the hull are analyzed and compared. The evacuation of passengers with mobility impairments in centralized and decentralized distributions is analyzed and compared. The simulation results revealed that the inclined or rolling state of the hull has a certain influence on the evacuation process of the personnel and that the evacuation efficiency of the personnel is significantly reduced. Therefore,it is recommended that the MSC.1/Circ.1533 guidelines add the evacuation performance evaluation criteria for the hull of inclined or rolling states.
