Research On The Application Of Taoyuan Embroidery In Creative Costume Design

Taoyuan embroidery,as a traditional folk handicraft with a long history in northern Hunan,has a long history and rich cultural background.As a provincial intangible cultural heritage protection project in Hunan Province,Taoyuan embroidery is more and more well known.Taoyuan embroidery has distinct regionality,unique artistic style and strong aesthetic value,which includes a special stitch system,clever color matching and rich pattern themes.In modern design,Taoyuan embroidery is mainly used in packaging design,home design and clothing accessories design,and rarely used in clothing design.Taoyuan embroidery has its own interest in the artistic expression of patterns,but it has something in common with the artistic expression effect of modern creative clothing.Starting from the creative design thinking,design techniques and design concepts,this paper takes creative clothing as the carrier,reasonably applies the artistic characteristics of Taoyuan embroidery in the design of modern creative clothing,expresses and spreads Taoyuan culture through modern design concepts,and promotes traditional national handicrafts.Based on Taoyuan embroidery,this paper studies its application in creative clothing.The research content is mainly divided into four parts: the first part is to explore the historical origin of Taoyuan embroidery,sort out its folk customs classification in detail,understand the current inheritance mode,and provide a new path for the development of Taoyuan embroidery in the later period;In the second part,the artistic features and cultural connotations of Taoyuan embroidery are summarized,and the similarities and differences between Taoyuan embroidery and other embroideries are compared and analyzed.The artistic features of Taoyuan embroidery are elaborated and analyzed in detail from the aspects of stitch characteristics,theme patterns,composition methods and color matching.The third part,from both domestic and foreign aspects,explores the various expressions of the combination of traditional embroidery elements and creative design,and provides feasible reference for later design practice;The fourth part,combined with the previous theoretical and practical research,integrates Taoyuan embroidery elements into creative clothing for design practice.Through comprehensive and in-depth theoretical and practical research on Taoyuan embroidery,it is found that if Taoyuan embroidery is to be designed in combination with creative clothing,it should be designed reasonably and creatively and make good use of the artistic characteristics of Taoyuan embroidery,such as techniques,patterns and colors,so that the original core style of Taoyuan embroidery can be preserved,and the creative clothing can be used as the carrier to express the work,giving consideration to its aesthetic value and practical value.Presenting Taoyuan embroidery from a new angle and enriching the innovative design techniques of clothing are not only the protection and living inheritance of Taoyuan embroidery culture,but also the reference for designers to use traditional manual skills in the field of clothing design in the future.
