The Research Of Folk Embroidery Art In Taoyuan Country

The traditional folk arts in the north of Hunan have a long history and profound cultural deposits,the folk embroidery in Taoyuan is one of them.The Chu culture,Chu embroidery come into Hunan must pass through Taoyuan,and then they intermingled with the local folk culture,thus forming a unique Taoyuan art style.Taoyuan folk embroidery is mainly used in daily life and traditional folk activities,it combines practicality and decorativeness,and integrates the exquisite craftsmanship and emotional attachment of the local traditional female groups,which has far-reaching cultural connotations.As an important part of folk embroidery in Hunan and the source of nutrients formed by "Hunan Embroidery",its inheritance and protection is also a topic worthy of attention.The research perspectives of this thesis are composed of many disciplines such as Design Science,Ethnology,Folklore and Art Anthropology.It uses Qualitative Research Methods,as it mainly focuses on the method of Fieldwork,and supplemented by Interviews,Observational studies and Literature Research.Firstly,it sorts out the historical background,development vein,geographical distribution and application of Taoyuan folk embroidery;Secondly,it makes a detailed record of the classification of Taoyuan folk embroidery utensils,production process and stitch category,and summarizes the characteristics of its crafts;Thirdly,the theme patterns,modeling features and color features of Taoyuan folk embroidery are summarized and analyzed.After that,the cultural connotations of Taoyuan folk embroidery are further explored and discussed according to the previous two contents.Finally,the author puts forward some brief opinions and suggestions on the inheritance and protection of Taoyuan folk embroidery.
