Since 2002,when the United Nations Development Program first proposed "green development",it has been considered by academics as the way to realize the organic combination of economic development and environmental protection. In the process of development, agricultural economy is facing increasingly serious problems such as factor resource constraints and environmental pollution emissions. The key to promote the green and sustainable development of agriculture is the allocation efficiency of agricultural factors. At present,China’s agriculture and rural areas are facing increasing hard constraints on resources, prominent environmental pollution problems, mismatch of agricultural production factors, and low efficiency and large regional differences, which restrict the rational use of agricultural resources and green and sustainable development of agriculture. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore the mismatch of agricultural factors of production with agricultural green production efficiency, which will help improve the mismatch of agricultural factors of production, improve the use of agricultural resources, and promote the green and sustainable development of agricultural economy. This study explores the impact of agricultural production factor mismatch on agricultural green production efficiency from the perspective of production factor mismatch, and provides new theoretical support and empirical evidence for improving agricultural green production efficiency.Firstly, this study constructs a general analysis framework of agricultural economic growth from the perspective of factor mismatch, combines economic growth theory and resource mismatch theory, incorporates factor “distortion price” into the agricultural production function to analyze the influence mechanism of agricultural factor mismatch on agricultural green productivity, and proposes the research hypothesis of this study.Secondly,30 provinces in China are selected as the object of analysis, and the mismatch index of agricultural resources and the green total factor productivity index of each province are measured, and Arc GIS software is applied to analyze the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and development trends of agricultural factor mismatch and green productivity in China.Again, panel data are constructed based on the existing theoretical analysis and research hypotheses, and a spatial econometric model is used to estimate the spatial spillover effects of agricultural resource mismatch on agricultural green productivity, and heterogeneity analysis is conducted based on agricultural sustainable development zones and land transfer levels. Finally,a mediating effects model was used to further test the influence mechanism of agricultural production factor mismatch on agricultural green production efficiency. The research results show that, first, agricultural capital mismatch, labor mismatch and land mismatch reflect different spatial distribution characteristics in time and space, but in general, they all show the development trend of continuous improvement of factor misallocation.Agricultural green production efficiency achieves rapid growth within the study area, and the growth rate in the north as well as the eastern coastal regions is greater than that in the central and western regions, showing a spatial distribution pattern of strong in the northeast and northwest but weak in the central and western regions.Second, from the estimation results, the impact of agricultural production factor mismatch on agricultural green production efficiency has a significant positive spatial spillover effect in different regions,i.e.,the agricultural green production efficiency in the region is not only affected by the mismatch of production factors in the region but also by the mismatch of production factors in other neighboring regions. At the same time, the mismatch of agricultural production factors has a significant negative impact on agricultural green production efficiency,i.e.,the mismatch of agricultural resources will hinder the growth of agricultural green production efficiency. From the decomposition results of the spatial effects, the indirect effects are greater than the direct effects, which means that the impact of factor mismatch in the region on the green production efficiency of the region is greater than its impact on the green production efficiency of the neighboring regions.Thirdly, the mismatch of agricultural resources will hinder the growth of agricultural green production efficiency by restricting the upgrading of agricultural industrial structure, which is manifested by the fact that it is difficult to get rid of the redundant input and excessive pollution production mode in the past "rough" agricultural development, and the agricultural pollution emission is higher, thus hindering the growth of agricultural green production efficiency. The mismatch of agricultural resources will restrict agricultural green technology innovation to hinder the growth of agricultural green production efficiency, which shows that agricultural production subjects facing the mismatch of agricultural production factors will be less willing to carry out green technology innovation and behavior, thus hindering the growth of agricultural green production efficiency.Based on the research in this paper, the following policy recommendations are drawn.First, government should pay attention to the impact of agricultural factors misallocation, improve the market mechanism of agricultural factors, shorten the economic distance, break the market barriers, promote the circulation of factors, and fundamentally promote the growth of the agricultural economy from point to point by cascading radiation.Secondly, government should optimize sustainable agricultural development zoning, pay attention to the effective use of agricultural resources and ecological protection, according to the resource advantages and industrial advantages of agricultural development zoning to form a special agricultural low-carbon development model.Third, give full play to the government’s guiding role and policy support, promote the transformation and agricultural industrial structure upgrading and agricultural green technology application, and form a special agricultural industrial agglomeration to drive the high-quality agricultural sustainable development.
