With the development of humanity and the increasing level of technology, urban household waste is growing at a rate we cannot imagine. To solve the problem of "garbage siege" and achieve waste reduction, harmlessness, and resource utilization,it is necessary to carry out garbage classification management work well.In 2017,China issued the "Implementation Plan for the Domestic Waste Classification System",which requires 46 cities nationwide to first carry out mandatory classification of domestic waste. In 2019,the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and other departments jointly issued a notice requiring cities at or above the prefecture level nationwide to fully initiate the classification of household waste. This study takes A Street in S City as a research case, based on collaborative governance theory, circular economy theory, and public goods theory.Through collecting and organizing relevant literature at home and abroad, questionnaire surveys and visiting surveys are adopted to explore the main problems and reasons for garbage classification in A Street.Analysis has found that the main problems with garbage classification in Street A are:mixed loading and transportation of residents in the classification and transportation process, severe mixed collection and transportation in the classification and transportation process, and low resource utilization efficiency. The main reason is that residents have insufficient awareness of garbage classification, the government does not attach enough importance to garbage classification, the supervision and management are not precise and effective enough, and the participation of property enterprises is not sufficient. This article draws on the relevant experience of domestic advanced areas in household waste classification management, and combines the characteristics of A Street to propose suitable household waste classification management strategies for A Street, including strengthening publicity and training, optimizing management systems, improving supervision systems, and strengthening innovative thinking.I hope to improve the level of household waste classification management in Street A and provide residents with a more livable living environment.
