| Local residents are the most important interest subjects in the development of rural ecotourism,and the sustainable and healthy development of rural ecotourism development must be actively cooperated by local residents.Residents’ attitudes toward rural ecotourism development largely depend on their perceptions of the economic,socio-cultural,and ecological impacts brought about by rural ecotourism.This paper takes the residents of Ta Village in Xinjiang Tomur Peak National Nature Reserve as the research object and explores their perceptions and attitudes toward rural ecotourism from the perspective of residents’ perceptions and attitudes.Descriptive statistical analysis of residents’ perceptions and attitudes concluded that the residents of Tarmur Peak have a significantly stronger ability to perceive positive economic utility than negative utility.Residents’ attitudes toward tourism personnel and rural ecotourism development: nearly 50% of the residents expressed unconditional support for their tourism and were more satisfied with the development of rural ecotourism in Tomur Peak;41.5% of the residents stood for their own interests and supported the development of rural ecotourism if they thought it would bring them benefits;0.6% of the residents were repulsed by tourists and did not support the development of rural 0.6% of the residents do not support the development of rural ecotourism because they think it will affect their normal living conditions;40.1% of the residents are satisfied with the current situation of the development of rural ecotourism in Tomurfong,55.9% think it has good development prospects,68.5% think it is worthwhile to participate in the development and operation of rural ecotourism in Tomurfong,and 77% think the advantages of the development of rural ecotourism in Tomurfong outweigh the disadvantages.The advantages of ecotourism development in Tomurfong outweigh the disadvantages.The study shows that the residents of Ta Village have not fully recognized the development of rural ecotourism,and the residents are less satisfied with the level of development of rural ecotourism in Ta Village,but the satisfaction and support of the residents for rural ecotourism in Ta Village are relatively high.There are differences in the perceptions and attitudes of residents with different demographic characteristics regarding the impact brought about by rural ecotourism development,but the overall differences are not significant.Using factor analysis and maximum variance orthogonal rotation method to obtain the conclusions of perception analysis: there are significant differences between different genders for negative economic impact;there are significant differences between different ages for positive ecological impact;there are significant differences between different incomes for positive ecological impact and negative economic impact;there are significant differences between different occupations for positive socio-cultural,economic,and ecological impact and negative economic impact;There are significant differences between different education levels for socio-cultural and ecological negative impacts;there are significant differences between whether the samples are locally born for positive economic impacts and negative economic impacts;there are significant differences between whether the samples are currently engaged in tourism-related jobs for positive socio-cultural and economic impacts and negative socio-cultural and ecological impacts;there are significant differences between different samples currently engaged intourism-related jobs for positive socio-cultural and economic impacts and negative socio-cultural and ecological impacts;there are significant differences between different samples currently engaged in tourism-related jobs for positive socio cultural,economic,and ecological positive impacts,and socio-cultural negative impacts showed significant differences.Attitudinal analysis concludes that: different age samples present significant differences for residents’ expectation,residents’ satisfaction;different income samples present significant differences for residents’ satisfaction;different occupation samples present significant differences for residents’ expectation,residents’ satisfaction;different education samples present significant differences for residents’ expectation,residents’ satisfaction;different residence time in the local The samples with different lengths of residence in the local area showed significant differences in residents’ expectation;whether the samples were born locally or not showed significant differences in residents’ participation;whether the samples are currently working in tourism-related jobs showed significant differences in residents’ satisfaction and residents’ participation;currently working in different tourism-related jobs showed significant differences in residents’ expectation and residents’ satisfaction.Cluster analysis was used to classify the residents into types,and the residents of Xinjiang Tomur Peak National Nature Reserve for developing rural ecotourism were classified as cautious supporters,realists,rational supporters,optimistic supporters,and indifferent attituders.From the correlation analysis of residents’ perceptions and attitudes,it appears that there is a significant positive correlation between residents’ perceptions of the overall positive impact brought by rural ecotourism development and their attitudes toward rural ecotourism development,and a certain negative correlation with the perception of negative impacts.Finally,based on the economic,social and cultural,and ecological environment,the suggestions suitable for the residents of Ta village in Xinjiang Tomur Peak National Nature Reserve to participate in rural ecotourism are proposed: we should focus on building a reasonable benefit distribution mechanism to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor;improve the village traffic management mode to ease the traffic pressure;improve the quality of residents to stimulate them to actively participate in the development of rural ecotourism;focus on environmental protection awareness and increase environmental monitoring. |
