This paper takes the office chair lumbar support as the research object, takes the static comfort and dynamic comfort as the research angle, explores the comfort difference of the lumbar support through the combination of body pressure distribution test and subjective evaluation, obtains the range of office chair lumbar support parameters that meet the daily needs, and further discusses the optimal design of the lumbar support. The experimental data were processed by ANOVA,correlation analysis, paired t-test and other methods. Finally, according to the experimental results, the design principles of office chair waist support are summarized, and a new type of office chair waist support is designed. The research results of the project are as follows:(1)By combining network research and field research, this paper explored the current situation of lumbar support design in the office chair market from the perspective of user experience research and product design respectively, and learned that the current office crowd has problems of inadequate lumbar support fit, inappropriate position, and inadequate adjustability; At present, most office chair lumbar supports are not adjustable, and adjustable office chairs also have problems such as difficulty in adjustment, insufficient range and single adjustment dimension.Compared with the relevant national standards, there are still some aspects to be optimized in the size parameter design of the office chair.(2)A study was conducted on the static comfort of office chair lumbar support, and a preliminary evaluation of the static experience of finished office chairs was conducted on the horizontal curvature radius of the backrest, longitudinal curvature of the lumbar support, backrest height, and backrest depth. The factors that affect the static comfort of office chair lumbar support and their importance ranking were determined, and the general parameter requirements for office chair backrest and lumbar support were specified,Provide a basis for selecting experimental parameters for further static comfort experiments on the waist of office chairs.A quantitative study and analysis of office chairs were conducted using a combination of objective body pressure distribution and subjective evaluation.Evaluate the experience of the horizontal radius of the backrest and conclude that lumbar supports with a horizontal radius of 300-450 mm have better comfort;A single factor five level experiment was conducted on the longitudinal curvature of the lower lumbar support, comparing the effects of the longitudinal curvature r of 75 mm,100mm,125 mm,150mm,and 175 mm on the lumbar pressure and comfort of office workers in two static sitting positions(upright, relaxed and reclined). It was found that the lumbar support with a longitudinal curvature of 100 mm had the best comprehensive performance in terms of body pressure distribution and comfort.Subsequently,a double factor three level experiment was conducted on the lumbar support depth and lumbar support height using the lumbar support with the highest evaluated longitudinal curvature of 100 mm and a horizontal radius of 450 mm for the backrest. The optimal position combination for office workers in two static sitting positions(upright and relaxed recline)was explored, and the optimal combination for upright sitting was found to be: lumbar support height 170mm+lumbar support depth 100 mm,lumbar support height 170mm+lumbar support depth 85mm;When sitting in a relaxed supine position, the best combination is a waist support height of 150mm+a waist support depth of 85 mm,a waist support height of 170mm+a waist support depth of 70 mm.(3)To study the dynamic comfort of office chair lumbar support, firstly, the soft hardness and backrest damping parameters to be tested for office chair are measured and classified, and then the influence of the soft hardness and backrest moment on the dynamic comfort of office chair lumbar support is quantitatively studied and analyzed by combining the objective body pressure distribution with subjective evaluation. The experimental results show that the comfort of soft lumbar support with 22.1HC as the cluster center is higher, the evaluation of medium hardness lumbar support with 39.8HC as the cluster center is general, and the evaluation of hard lumbar support with 58 HC as the cluster center is lower. With the increase of lumbar stiffness, the comfort score gradually decreased.Female subjects were more sensitive to the stiffness of the lumbar support.Women are more suitable for soft lumbar support, while men are more suitable for moderate to soft lumbar support.Male and female subjects showed different preferences in the three levels of backrest torque. The male subjects preferred the strength of the backrest in the middle torque(i.e.40 N · m)gear, while the female subjects preferred the strength of the backrest in the small torque gear(i.e.25 N · m),and showed obvious discomfort in the large torque gear(i.e.55 N · m).
