Study On Kneel-sitting Comfort And Design Of New Office Chair

This issue which observe the ergonomic point of view , introduct the theory of kneel-seat, combine the method of pressure distribution experiments and subjective evaluation ,research on the kneel-sitting comfort and kneel-sitting fatigue. According to the experimental results, we can define a reasonable seat structure , improve the new development of kneel-sitting comfort.The results of pressure distribution experiments showed:(1) The experiment showed that when the height of seat surface from 425mm to 450mm, the angle of seat from 15°to 20°, the height of leg support from 295mm to 320mm and the angle of leg support from 35°to 40°,The distance of seat and leg support about 400mm, the height of lumbar support from 625mm to 650mm, the more soft elastic sponge ,the feel of kneel-sitting is more comfortable.(2)The kneel-sitting fatigue mainly reflected the comfort of hip and calf .The experiment showed that when the time from 30 to 40 minutes, the hip'pressure distribution change rapidly ;when the time from 40 to 50 minutes ,the calf'pressure distribution change rapidly. So when the time about 40 minutes , needs for some adjustment or even a break to relieve fatigue.(3)Ordinary sitting's maximum pressure in ischium nodes ,but kneel-sitting's maximum pressure focus on one point—middle cutaneous nerve .Found by measuring :calf's maximum pressure depart 6mm to 14mm from kneel.The experimental results above be used in the design of office chairs .The new office chair can change sitting posture,so that the comfort of sitting could be improved, and human health could be better kept by sitting on it.
