| In recent decades,China’s economic development has made remarkable achievements, however,is accompanied by the destruction of ecological environment more and more serious, the environment gradually became a kind of scarce resources, countries have realized the importance of environment, all kinds of measures for protecting the environment and also continuously produce, environmental regulation is more and more important. In order to protect the ecological environment, the energy revolution is also gradually advancing. The country actively promotes the use of natural gas and other clean energy, and strives to increase the proportion of natural gas consumption and reduce the use of coal.In this context,in order to better promote the process of environmental regulation and energy revolution, this thesis decided to study the impact of environmental regulation on natural gas consumption, and put forward corresponding development suggestions. In order to study the impact of environmental regulation on natural gas consumption, this thesis selects the provincial panel data of 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China(Tibet related data is missing)from 2007 to 2018.Firstly,the unit root test is carried out for each variable to prove that the first-order difference sequence of each variable is stable, and then the cointegration test is carried out.The results show that the variables have a long-term equilibrium relationship,Then, the influence of environmental regulation on natural gas consumption is analyzed by panel data regression. Then, the spatial econometric model is constructed, and the square of geographical distance matrix is chosen as the spatial weight matrix, and the global spatial autocorrelation and local spatial autocorrelation test are carried out for the natural gas consumption variables. Finally, the spatial effect of environmental regulation on natural gas consumption is analyzed by spatial Dobbin model. The results show that:(1)environmental regulation has positive positive effects on natural gas consumption, whether in individual fixed effect or in time fixed effect. It shows that the strict environmental regulation can promote the increase of natural gas consumption and help the energy revolution.(2)The spatial distribution of natural gas consumption has certain agglomeration, and environmental regulation not only promotes the natural gas consumption in the region, but also has a positive impact on the natural gas consumption in other regions. It indicates that environmental regulation has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on natural gas consumption. |
