Research On The Functionality Of Jingzuo Furniture Based On The Lifestyle Of Young People

Jingzuo furniture represents the style and type of palace furniture in the northern region,with artistic characteristics of solemnity,luxury,and elegance.In 2008,the craftsmanship of Jingzuo’s hardwood furniture was selected for the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects.With the development of the times,people’s lifestyles have undergone significant changes.If we stick to the function,shape,structure,decoration,materials,and technology of Jingzuo furniture,it will not be able to fully meet the needs of modern people.In order to promote the sustainable development of Jingzuo furniture,this article attempts to analyze the artistic characteristics of Jingzuo furniture,explore the causes of function using the ideas of residential studies.Taking the young group as the research object,this paper analyzes their new demand for furniture category function,puts forward the design principle of functional innovation of Jingzuo furniture,and takes this as the guide to carry out the innovative design of Jingzuo furniture.First of all,combined with the use function of Jingzuo furniture,it analyzes the artistic characteristics of chair furniture,bed furniture,table furniture,cabinet furniture and miscellaneous furniture.The dignified design showcases its unique palace cultural characteristics,adhering to the tenon and mortise structure of traditional furniture in structure,representing the highest level of traditional furniture.In order to reflect the majesty of the royal family,a large amount of carving,painting,and inlaying techniques are used in the decoration of furniture.In terms of material selection,precious wood such as sandalwood and red wood are used as raw materials,and techniques such as carving,inlaying,and gold painting are fully utilized.These crafts showcase the artistic characteristics of Jingzuo furniture with gorgeous styles and exquisite carvings,while also showcasing China’s profound cultural heritage and aesthetic taste.Secondly,guided by residential studies,this article explores the historical and social background of the Ming and Qing dynasties and people’s lifestyles from a historical and social perspective.This article studies the relationship between life behavior and furniture,and summarizes the causes of the function of Jingzuo furniture by sorting and analyzing the social life history.This study developed a survey questionnaire to understand the aesthetic preferences of young people towards Jingzuo furniture,analyze the current era background and characteristics of youth groups,summarize the functional needs of youth groups for various types of furniture,and lay a foundation for the innovative design principles of Jingzuo furniture in the future.Finally,the principle of functional innovation is proposed,which emphasizes the importance of self serving things,daily use being the way,serving the people,and form following function.The principle of innovative design is based on technology carrying the way,with unique craftsmanship.The principle of technological innovation is based on skillful craftsmanship,ingenuity,and the principle of material innovation that judges the situation.And using this as a guiding ideology,innovative design of hallway cabinets and multi-functional cabinets is carried out based on the functional needs and aesthetic preferences of youth groups.Jingzuo furniture carries the splendid and glorious historical civilization of the Chinese nation,and its exquisite craftsmanship and magnificent artistic forms fully demonstrate the wisdom of the ancients.This article analyzes the artistic characteristics of Jingzuo furniture and the causes of the functions of various types of furniture;analyzes the new needs of youth groups for furniture functionality;proposes innovative methods for the functionality of Jingzuo furniture,and uses them as guidance for the functional innovation design of Jingzuo furniture.The research method and design practice proposes in this article can prove that it is effective for the functional improvement of Jingzuo furniture and contributes to the sustainable development of Jingzuo furniture.
