| The demand for tourism continues to expand and the number of tourists increases year by year with the improvement of people’s living standards,which significantly improves the economic benefits and resident income of tourist destinations,it also brings a lot of pressure to the ecological environment of tourist destinations,seriously hindering the sustainable and healthy development of tourist destinations.Tourists are the main participants of tourism activities,and their behaviors are related to the sustainable and healthy development of tourism places,therefore,the study of tourists’ environmentally responsible behaviors can help promote the sustainable development of tourism places.Existing researches on the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists have not paid enough attention to the psychological dimension of tourists.This paper takes the interactive factors of tourists during their visit(tourism involvement)as an entry point and explores how the different dimensions of tourism involvement affect the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists,based on Cognition-Affective-Conative theory.By statistically analyzing the questionnaire data collected from Mulan Grassland and examining the mechanism of the influence of tourism involvement on the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists.The results of the study are as follows.(1)The different dimensions of tourism involvement have different effects on tourism experience.Attractiveness in tourism involvement has a significantly higher impact on tourism experience than centrality and self-expression.(2)Different dimensions of tourism involvement have different effects on place attachment.Among them,attractiveness and self-expression in tourism involvement positively influenced place attachment.The positive effect of centrality in tourism involvement on place attachment is not verified in this study.(3)Tourism involvement positively affects the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists.However,the different dimensions of tourism involvement have different effects on the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists.Centrality has a higher impact on environmentally responsible behavior than attractiveness and self-expression.The more involved a traveler is,the more likely he or she is to commit environmentally responsible behavior.(4)Both tourism experience and place attachment can positively influence tourists’ environmentally responsible behavior.The better the tourism experiences tourists have at a destination,the stronger their attachment to the destination will be and the more likely they are to engage in environmentally responsible behavior.(5)Tourism experience,place attachment,plays a partially mediating role in the influence of tourism involvement on the tourists’ environmentally responsible behavior.Not only does tourism involvement directly influence the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists,it also indirectly influences the environmentally responsible behavior of tourists through the mediating role of tourism experience and place attachment.Combined with the empirical research results,this paper provides a series of enlightenments for scenic spot managers: The first is to guide participation and improve the level of tourist involvement.The second is to improve the quality of tourist experience by refining the software and hardware.The third is to create an atmosphere to cultivate tourists’ emotional dependence.This study helps to guide the community to adopt a series of measures to promote the implementation of environmentally responsible behaviors among tourists so that ecotourism destinations can achieve sustainable and healthy development. |
