As the rapid development of China’s manufacturing industry,it has become the main support of the economy.But at the same time,it is constrained by low production efficiency,serious resource wastage,high pollution,high emission levels and weak indigenous innovation capacity,which seriously threaten the qualitative development of China’s manufacturing industry.In response to the above dilemma,the State Council issued the "China Manufacturing 2025" strategy,calling for innovation-driven and green-driven development.Green Total Factor Productivity(GTFP),which characterizes the quality of industry development and carbon emission level,continues to improve,becoming an important starting point for the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.In this paper,I construct a four-input,two-output SBM model containing labor,capital,energy and R&D factors,measure efficiency and GTFP level,decompose it into technical progress,technical efficiency and other indicators by combining the measurement results with the GML index,and investigate the effect of its influence.Finally,when selecting different antecedents and exploring the influence of their interaction terms on GTFP,technical efficiency and technological progress,I add constraints on the cost of carbon emission reduction and conduct a grouping study with the help of qualitative comparative analysis of fuzzy sets,and then analyze each grouping model to propose the targeted improvement paths under different models.Conclusion: The measurement and analysis results of manufacturing energy efficiency show that: 1.Green transformation cannot be achieved overnight and has a certain lag;2.Industry-specific differences are more obvious and need to be studied by category;3.Technical efficiency and technical progress affect the change of GTFP,and technical progress is the main driving force to promote GTFP in manufacturing industry.According to the results of the measurement and analysis of manufacturing GTFP,it can be seen that: 1.Different groupings of the antecedent variables lead to high level GTFP results in the same way;2.For the groupings that contain most of the energy-intensive non-high level GTFP influencing factors,there are five grouping patterns;3.Make targeted recommendations for improving GTFP in manufacturing based on different grouping patterns.Suggestions: 1.Promote the green innovation transformation of manufacturing industry from input-driven to green and innovation-driven;2.Focus on high-quality talent cultivation to guarantee the high-level development of green total factor productivity;3.Give full play to government leadership and the decisive role of market competition in the allocation of GTFP resources;4.Promote independent R&D to avoid "stuck neck" events to guarantee the sustainable growth of green total factor productivity.
