Research On The Impact Of Input Servitization Of Manufacturing On Enterprise Pollution Emissions

With the implementation of the global service strategy,enterprise service transformation is undoubtedly a new requirement for green economic development.Several meetings and policy documents of the Chinese government have clearly stated that it is necessary to accelerate the integration of manufacturing and service industries and transform the extensive economic development model.As a new business form of the integrated development of manufacturing and service industries,the input servitization of manufacturing is the fundamental way to reduce pollution emissions in the process of innovation and development of the manufacturing industry.From the perspective of the input servitization of manufacturing,it is critical to investigate its impact on business pollution reduction and to encourage businesses to pursue a high-quality,environmentally friendly development path.The focus of this paper is on the impact of manufacturing’s input servitization on enterprise pollution emissions.First,with the help of the WIOD database,the level of the input servitization of manufacturing is measured by calculating the complete consumption coefficient as,and then the equivalent value of various pollutants emitted by the enterprise was calculated using the data of Chinese industrial enterprises and Chinese industrial pollution data.Using the data from 2000 to 2010,this research examines the influence of the input servitization of manufacturing on corporate pollution emissions and differentiates different emission reduction effects under the condition of heterogeneity.The empirical results show that the input servitization of manufacturing has significantly promoted the pollution reduction effect of enterprises and reduced the pollution emissions of enterprises.By distinguishing enterprise heterogeneity,it is found that technological innovation and transportation input significantly reduce enterprise pollution emissions,while financial insurance input will increase enterprise pollution emissions,and enterprises are not sensitive to retail and wholesale and information communication input.Compared with enterprises in the eastern region,due to the latecomer advantage in the western region,the input servitization of manufacturing has a greater impact on corporate pollution reduction.The development of service transformation can successfully reduce pollution emissions for high-tech businesses.Stateowned and foreign-funded businesses are particularly vulnerable to service transformation.,and the effect of pollution reduction is remarkable.The input servitization of manufacturing can improve the pollution reduction effect of capital-intensive and technology-intensive enterprises,but has a weaker effect on labor-intensive enterprises.It can be seen from this that in the process of promoting the service transformation and upgrading of manufacturing enterprises,it is necessary to formulate service transformation strategies that meet the characteristics of enterprises according to the conditions of the enterprise and the industry.Further research reveals that environmental regulation enhances the emission-reducing effect of the input servitization of manufacturing.Finally,this paper deeply analyzes the internal mechanism of the impact of input servitization of manufacturing on pollution reduction from two channels of resource conservation and technological innovation.Through the inspection of the mechanism,it is found that,first,the input servitization of manufacturing can reduce the input of physical resources in the production process,and replace physical resources with high-end service element input,and promote the optimization of element structure;second,the input servitization of manufacturing promotes technological innovation of enterprises,focusing on product and production process optimization,and bring more green technologies.Therefore,the input servitization of manufacturing can reduce the pollution discharge of enterprises by saving resources and improving technological innovation.This paper investigates the impact and method of the input servitization of manufacturing on enterprise pollution emissions using the preceding research.This provides ideas for the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing enterprises and promotes high-quality and environmentally friendly development,and has important reference significance for realizing a development path that takes into account both the economy and the environment.
