Research On The Impact Of Rural Financial Efficiencyand Agricultural Technological Progress On Agricultural Carbon Emissions

As a great agricultural country,China has a sharp increase in agricultural greenhouse gas emissions.In the context of emission peak and carbon neutralization,studying China how to reduce agricultural carbon emissions is important.The role of rural finance in promoting low carbonization of agriculture cannot be ignored.At the same time,in recent years,the development and research focus of rural finance has shifted from "quantity" into "quality".Therefore,this thesis has studied how rural financial efficiency affects agricultural carbon emissions,and how rural financial efficiency affects agricultural carbon emissions through agricultural technological progress,thus enriching relevant studies to a certain extent and providing policy basis for China’s agricultural carbon emission reduction.For the above problems,firstly,this thesis has combed relevant literature at home and abroad,analyzed the research status of rural financial efficiency,agricultural technological progress and agricultural carbon emissions.And based on the relevant theories,this thesis analyzed and elaborated on the impact mechanism of the three.Secondly,it analyzed the current situation of the three,and found some existing problems.Thirdly,this thesis established index systems for rural financial efficiency,agricultural technology progress and agricultural carbon emissions.Among them,rural financial efficiency was calculated by the SE-DEA model.Agricultural technological progress was calculated by the DEA-Malmquist model.Agricultural carbon emissions were calculated by carbon emission coefficient method.At the same time,this thesis analyzes the results of the measurement.Fourthly,this thesis did empirical research on the calculated data.Based on the provincial panel data in China from 2009 to 2020,this thesis studied the total effect and threshold effect of rural financial efficiency on agricultural carbon emissions by using two-way fixed effects model and threshold panel model respectively.And then,this thesis studied the transmission mechanism of rural financial efficiency on agricultural carbon emissions through agricultural technological progress by using two-way fixed effects model,and studied the relationship between the three by using threshold panel model for further discussion Through the above analysis,this thesis aims to put forward relevant suggestions on improving rural financial development and promoting agricultural technological progress,so as to reduce agricultural carbon emissions.The main results shows that: Firstly,both rural financial efficiency and agricultural technological progress are on the rise,and the average level in central region is higher than that in eastern and western region.Agricultural carbon emission intensity is in a declining trend,and the average level in eastern region is lower than that in central and western region.Secondly,rural financial efficiency inhibits agricultural carbon emissions.With the increase of rural financial efficiency,its impact on agricultural carbon emissions is different There are double thresholds for national samples,and the inhibitory effect first increases and then decreases.There is a single threshold in the eastern region,and the effect turns from promoting to insignificant.There are double thresholds in the central region,and the effect changes from insignificant to inhibitory and gradually increases.There is a single threshold in the western region,and the effect turns from insignificant to inhibitory.Thirdly,rural financial efficiency can inhibit agricultural carbon emissions by promoting agricultural technological progress.With the increase of rural financial efficiency,the impact of agricultural technological progress on agricultural carbon emissions is different.There is a single threshold for national samples and in the eastern region,and the inhibition gradually increases.There is a single threshold in the central region,and the effect turns from insignificant to inhibitory.There are double thresholds in the western region,and the inhibition gradually increases.In view of the above results,this thesis analyzed the reasons,and proposed that we should improve rural financial efficiency,adopt rural finance policies according to local conditions,promote agricultural technological progress,strengthen the financial supply of agricultural technological progress,so as to achieve agricultural carbon emission reduction.
