Research On The Application Of Taishan Shadow Play Visual Form In Modern Leisure Dress Design

Taishan shadow puppet is an important representative of Shandong shadow theater genre,which has high aesthetic and cultural value due to its unique subject matter,rich colors,lifelike shapes,and detailed craftsmanship.In today’s era of rapid development,few people have conducted in-depth excavation and research on it,making this valuable folk art unable to better connect with modern life.In order to make this folk art keep pace with the times and bring it up to date,this project analyzes the history,culture and visual form of Taishan shadow puppet in depth,and finally takes clothing design as the starting point to form a series of casual clothing design with the visual form of Taishan shadow as the decorative theme,so as to finally realize the public’s sense of participation,access and recognition of Taishan shadow art.This thesis takes the visual form of Taishan shadow as the starting point and explores it in four parts: the first part starts from the historical and cultural perspective,traces the cultural connotation of Taishan shadow with Taishan culture as the mother,composes its origin and development,and analyzes the craft production process of Taishan shadow.The second part is an in-depth analysis of the symbolic meanings,color configurations,patterns,techniques,structures and shapes of the representative shadow puppets,such as shadow people,gods and monsters,and lining scenes,decomposing and extracting the symbolic elements in their costumes and exploring the beautiful symbolic meanings.The third part is to explore the feasibility of applying the visual form of Taishan shadow in modern casual wear design,using the Internet to research the latest fashion trends of clothing,summarize the excellent cases and designers’ design methods,and carry out innovative design of the extracted symbolic elements;meanwhile,explore the diverse expressions of the visual form elements of Taishan shadow in casual wear design under the influence of modern emerging technologies.The fourth part is to take modern casual wear as the carrier,subdividing modern casual wear into modern professional casual wear,modern sports casual wear and fashionable casual wear.Firstly,we drew 15 series of garment effects according to different occasions using different shadow visual elements;secondly,we made some garments and conducted virtual fitting for the more complicated ones;finally,we tried to use laser engraving and printing technology in the design practice process,and conducted laser light intensity experiments to determine the best light intensity value according to the characteristics of the fabric,and successfully combined the Taishan shadow This successfully combined the visual form of Taishan shadow with modern casual clothing,thus proving the feasibility of this project and providing new ideas for the integration of modern casual clothing design and traditional folk art.Through the application research of integrating the visual form of Taishan shadow with modern casual wear design,this project verifies that traditional folk art has strong application value in modern times.The use of emerging technology to integrate it with casual clothing not only provides a way to pass on the classic and non-foreign heritage of Taishan shadow folk art in a living way and enriches its expression form,but also achieves the purpose of enriching the decorative themes and cultural connotation of casual clothing,and provides reference and reference for the product development of contemporary clothing enterprises.
