Research On The Application Of Sichuan Shadow Play Modeling Art In Women's Clothing Design

The shadow puppet in Sichuan has a long history and rich content.It is a representative of the folk culture in Sichuan and is also a leading figure in folk art in Sichuan.It has not only been influenced by traditional Chinese culture,but has also evolved under the influence of other folk art cultures.It reflects the Sichuan people's ideological sentiments and moral values,and cherishes national beliefs and spiritual pursuits.Its external artistic features and inherent aesthetic values are worthy of study.The extraction of shadow art elements and their application in women's clothing design is a form of promoting and spreading national culture.Modern design pursues timeliness and fashion sense,while traditional Sichuan shadow play is handmade.If traditional art is incorporated into modern design,modern design can be infused with traditional culture blood,bringing a different sense of beauty and enhancing National cultural confidence.The purpose of this paper is to extract typical elements and redesign and re-create the Sichuan Shadow Art.This article briefly reviews the historical origins of Sichuan Shadow Play,analyzes the cultural connotation of Sichuan Shadow Play,and introduces the two main schools in Sichuan Shadow Play,Chengdu Shadow Play and Northern Sichuan Shadow Play.From the two perspectives of plane modeling and character modeling,the in-depth study of Sichuan Pi Ying's modeling arts,including the character's head sculpting,character costume styling,scene props styling,and character modeling corresponding to Sichuan opera.From the specific form and content of the Sichuan Shadow Play's art appreciation analysis.To summarize the exaggeration and decorative features of the traditional art of Sichuan Shadow Art.Finally,the two steps of element extraction and dress design elaborated the application of Sichuan Shadow Art in women's wear design.The extracted elements are derived from the costume crowns,patterns and colors in the Sichuan Shadow Art.Women's clothing is divided into profiles,styles,fabrics,and patterns.The innovation of this article is that combining the theory and practice,in the modern women's clothing design,fabrics,patterns and other elements reflect the characteristics of Sichuan shadow play modeling,and explore new perspectives and methods for the inheritance and development of traditional folk art.
