Study On Eco-efficiency Measurement And Influencing Factors Of Grain Production In Henan Province

Henan Province is an important grain-producing area in China.Improving the quality and efficiency of its grain production is crucial for ensuring our country’s food security.In order to undertake the grain production tasks in Henan Province,it is necessary to comprehensively improve the grain production capacity.However,with the rapid promotion of industrialization and urbanization in Henan Province,the structural contradictions of the grain industry have become increasingly prominent.At the same time,the redundancy of inputs,including mechanical power,labor and chemicals,have led to agricultural non-point source pollution and carbon emissions.While increasing grain production,it has had a negative impact on the agricultural ecological environment.Under the rigid constraints of resources and environment,the sustainability of food production is challenged.Therefore,on the basis of previous scholars’ research,this paper comprehensively uses relevant empirical research methods to further enrich and improve the evaluation index system of ecological efficiency of food production,and explore the development trend,distribution characteristics and influencing factors.In order to systematically explore the grain ecological efficiency of Henan Province and provide a feasible improvement path for the sustainable development of grain production in Henan Province.According to the analysis,based on relevant theories,such as theory of externalities,production efficiency,sustainable development,ecological economics,carbon emissions and non-point source pollution are included in the ecological efficiency evaluation system of food production.And the panel data of 17 prefecture-level cities in Henan Province from2000 to 2020 are used to measure the ecological efficiency of grain production.The overall characteristics,regional differences and spatial correlations between regions of grain production ecological efficiency in Henan Province are analyzed.Secondly,the mechanism of the influencing factors of grain production ecoefficiency in Henan Province is analyzed.On the basis of theoretical analysis,a spatial panel data model is constructed,and the factors such as agricultural mechanization level,scale level,industrial structure,and planting structure that affect the ecological efficiency of grain production in Henan Province are empirically analyzed.The magnitude of influence of the respective variables was analysed from direct,indirect and total effects.The influence degree of each variable is analyzed according to the empirical results.Finally,according to the empirical analysis conclusions,a realistic adjustment and optimization method of ecological efficiency of food production is proposed.In view of the development of different regions,practical suggestions are put forward from four aspects: adjusting the structure of factor inputs,optimizing the content of financial subsidies for supporting agriculture,transforming grain production methods,and strengthening regional exchanges and cooperation.
