In addressing climate change,the Chinese government has set the "dual carbon" goal,that is,carbon dioxide emissions will peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.These targets place new demands on various industries,including agriculture.In the field of agriculture,in order to achieve the national "dual carbon" goal,agricultural transformation and upgrading are needed,especially the development of low-carbon agriculture.Low-carbon agriculture refers to the use of low-carbon agricultural technologies and management measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agricultural production processes,so as to achieve the purpose of reducing carbon footprint,energy conservation and emission reduction.The significance of the development of low-carbon agriculture lies in reducing the negative impact of agricultural production on climate change,improving the sustainability of agriculture,and promoting the coordinated development of agriculture and the environment.At present,China’s low-carbon agriculture is in its infancy,and different regions are also carrying out different explorations and innovations.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the development path of low-carbon agriculture and promote the realization of low-carbon agriculture.As a representative of agriculture in the Central Plains and an important agricultural production area,the development of low-carbon agriculture in Henan deserves in-depth study,which can provide useful experience and enlightenment for the development of low-carbon agriculture in China.Nanyang is located in the middle of Henan Province,has rich agricultural resources and superior natural conditions,the total agricultural output value ranks first in Henan Province,rich in agricultural varieties,so Nanyang agriculture is an important representative of Henan agriculture,and at the same time has carried out a variety of exploration and practice in the development of low-carbon agriculture.As an important representative of Henan’s agriculture,Nanyang’s practical experience in low-carbon agriculture has reference significance for the development of low-carbon agriculture in central China and even the whole country.Therefore,this paper aims to provide useful reference and enlightenment for low-carbon agriculture in China through the analysis of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang.Based on the existing research on low-carbon agriculture,combined with the current situation of agricultural development in Nanyang City,the low-carbon agricultural development index system of Nanyang City was constructed,including four types of firstlevel indicators and twelve second-level indicators,including comprehensive agricultural development level indicators,agricultural energy utilization level indicators,agricultural material low-carbon level indicators and low-carbon agricultural development external environment indicators,and the index weights were determined by analytic hierarchy.The data from 2005 to 2019 were used for each index,and the relativization method was used to forward and dimensionless the original data after the standard values were established,and finally the multiplicative synthesis method was used to obtain a comprehensive evaluation of the development level of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang.At the same time,this paper uses the carbon emission coefficient method to measure the agricultural carbon emissions of Nanyang City in the past 15 years,which are divided into four sources: agricultural materials,agricultural machinery,agricultural water-saving management and livestock breeding.The evaluation results of low-carbon agricultural development in Nanyang City show that the development level of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang City increases simultaneously with the development of agricultural level,and the low-carbon level index of agricultural materials is the most important factor affecting the development of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang City,and the influence of external environmental indicators of low-carbon agricultural development is increasing year by year,indicating that the impact of education level and science and technology level on the development level of low-carbon agriculture will be the focus of our attention in the future.The measurement results of agricultural carbon emissions in Nanyang City show that the total agricultural carbon emissions of Nanyang City show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,while the carbon emission intensity is decreasing overall.Therefore,this paper argues that there are problems such as large unit energy consumption and insufficient agricultural science and technology level in the development of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang.Combined with the experience of low-carbon agriculture development at home and abroad,this paper puts forward suggestions for the development of low-carbon agriculture in Nanyang,such as formulating a low-carbon agricultural development framework,promoting low-carbon agricultural machinery,and carrying out low-carbon agricultural technology training.
