As China’s economy enters a new stage of development, the disadvantages of extensive development are emerging.Promoting the green development of China’s economy has become an important part in the current economic construction,so green total factor productivity, which incorporates environmental factors into the index system, has become an important index that can measure high-quality economic growth. With the transformation of industrial structure, the government has paid more attention to the coordinated development of manufacturing industry and producer services in recent years. As traditional specialized agglomeration of manufacturing industry is gradually shifting to the coordinated agglomeration,it has become one of the current research hotspots to explore whether the collaborative industrial agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services can effectively promote the growth of green total factor productivity. This paper first studies the impact of the collaborative agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services on green total factor productivity through theoretical analysis, then measures the industrial collaborative agglomeration index and green total factor productivity, and then tests theoretical hypotheses through empirical analysis. Finally,it draws conclusions and puts forward policy suggestions.First of all,in this paper,by analyzing industrial concentration and green total factor productivity of related research, from two aspects of external positive external effects and negative effects analysis industry collaborative cluster of green, the mechanism of action of total factor productivity, discussed the influence of the relationship, further analysis of the industry how collaborative cluster through the path of technological innovation affect green total factor productivity.By collecting and sorting the data of 236 cities in China from 2004 to 2017,this paper calculates the locational entropy index and industrial cooperative agglomeration index, and obtains the green total factor productivity and its decomposition terms by constructing the Global Malmquist-Luenberger productivity index using the SBM model.By analyzing and visualizing the status quo,it can be found that: first, the specialized agglomeration level of manufacturing and producer services is relatively stable in most years, with little change.Second, the level of industrial collaborative agglomeration in the eastern region is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions, and the level of industrial collaborative agglomeration in the central region has also been improved in recent years.Third, green total factor productivity increases in most years. In terms of empirical analysis, firstly,a two-way fixed effect model is constructed to test the impact of industrial collaborative agglomeration on green total factor productivity. The results show that the collaborative agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services can significantly promote the growth of green total factor productivity.Further subdividing producer services, technical services with manufacturing agglomeration has the strongest effect on green total factor productivity, and leasing services with manufacturing agglomeration effects on green total factor productivity is not significant.Secondly, the panel threshold regression model was constructed to test the nonlinear impact of industrial collaborative agglomeration on green total factor productivity. When the threshold variable is industry collaborative cluster index, the model has a dual threshold, embodied in when collaborative industrial agglomeration reaches a certain level, its promoting effect on green total factor productivity will decline, but it will recover after further improvement. When the threshold variable is the locational entropy index of manufacturing or producer services,it can be found that the specialized agglomeration at a higher level can improve the promotion effect of industrial collaborative agglomeration on green total factor productivity.Thirdly, with technological innovation as the mediating variable, the stepwise regression method was used to construct the mediating effect model to test the innovation effect of industrial collaborative agglomeration on green total factor productivity. The results show that collaborative industrial agglomeration can promote the growth of green total factor productivity through technological innovation, and there is a partial mediating effect. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis and empirical results, some policy suggestions are put forward from the aspects of promoting the coordinated development of manufacturing industry and producer services reasonably, formulating industrial policies according to local conditions, and actively promoting science and technology and talent policies to promote the coordinated clustering of China’s manufacturing and producer services and the development of green economy. |
